Should i be given vivitrol if I have not been effectively tapered off Suboxone only abruptly stopped bc my dr lost his license!? I've still been using
Find another Dr: If suboxone was helpful for you try to find another prescribing provider in your area, you can use the suboxone website or buprenorphine physician and treatment program locator buprenorphine.Samhsa.Gov/bwns_locator/. Vivitrol is another option however still would be helpful to find an addiction specialist to help you. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

I was wondering if I get the vivitrol shot would I therapeutically still be able to take xanax (alprazolam)? Thinking of getting off Suboxone and trying the shot
Depends on your Dr.: Many doctors (myself included) have many concerns about the use of benzodiazepines in general, and Xanax (alprazolam) in particular (much higher potential for abuse) in people in recovery from opiate dependency, and particularly those who are being treated with Suboxone or methadone. However, there are no drug interactions, and Vivitrol does not block the effects of benzodiazepines. Talk to provider. ...Read more
How long will symptoms last after i got a vivitrol shot? I can't sleep, have really bad nausea, and need relief
What is better for opiate dependency? Suboxone or vivitrol? What is difference? On sub now thinking ab switching to vivitrol
Took a vivitrol shot 4 days ago. Why do I still feel dizzy? Are there other side effects? Is this an experimental drug? Took 5 cc.
Yes it works, but: Whether it is worth the money depends on many things. For alcohol abuse, the results have been extremely good, with marked reductions in relapse, and much longer periods of sobriety, even in the homeless alcoholic population. For opioids, it's not as clear, but several russian studies showed success, and us studies are beginning to show some promise. It does have side effects (depression), + cost. ...Read more

Just had 2nd vivitrol shot 2wks ago & still have nausea, reflux and burping despite taking Zofran (ondansetron) 8mg po tid prn. What else can I take? Please help!
Tapered to .66 Suboxone but relapsed on adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). Would upping sub help or con to taper and on to vivitrol? Any advice. . . Thank you
More Suboxone?: It sounds like you might benefit from taking a higher dose of suboxone, but do not adjust your dose without first and always discussing with your prescribing physician. If your cravings for drugs were less on more suboxone, you may need an increase. Suboxone is not a cure. You probably need and could benefit from regular attendance at support group meetings like na. Your not ready for vivitrol. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Many possibilities: Why vivitrol to begin with? Either hx of drugs or alcohol both if which affect the liver as does vivitrol or by vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). Now depending on your past history I assume you have been checked for hepatitis. Many reasons for irritated liver enzymes. I am sure your doctor is monitoring ...Read more

Am I dying?
We all are: A 3-word question with no details... well, life is short on Earth, regardless of whether a person lives 3 days, 3000 days, or 30,000 days. It is not length of one's life that matters, but the quality of the life lived. The goal is not to live a long life, but to live a good life. Even if a person makes it all the way to age 82, that's only 30,000 days. ...Read more
