I have cerebral palsy and find it harder to move a delay in my movement if sorts andmore stiffness & pain. Does it worsen with age ?
It does for many: CP is quite variable in it's effect on patients from mild to disabling. Early and persistent work with therapy & Botox injections can often reduce the progression but over time the practical need for more assistance places many in a chair that would love to retain mobility. Muscles move better when they are balanced which is lost and worsens with age. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Balance problems: If you have had a lobectomy for lung cancer, please rule out recurrence first. If these symptoms have persisted for the last 13 years, I can understand your frustration. After i fell and the left side of my lower back hit a hard object, i used a heating pad to soothe my back. Two months later, i now feel stiffness on the bruised part of my back when i make certain movements. Do i have myositis ossifans?
Unlikely: Myositis ossificans (MO) is less likely to affect the muscles of the back rather then the muscles of the leg for example. Xrays would show bone growth in the muscle. You could still have a bone bruise or still a muscle strain or sprain. See your medical provider. For future injuries, ice instead of heat and anti-inflammatories might help. Physical therapy may be helpful. Good luck ...Read more
