I've recently observed that my wife, 37, shakes her head gently while reading but she herself doesn't feel it. Is it a symptom of anything serious?
Possibly: There are various so-called movement disorders, related to Parkinson's disease, that can begin with this type of thing. I recommend seeing your family doctor or a neurologist.
Symptoms: constant shakes, nausea, spacey, dry mouth weakness, tiredness, no sex drive, nervousness, high blood pressure/ cholesterol, diabetes type 2?
Need evaluation: There are many potential causes for symptoms like these -- some dangerous. Your best care would start with thorough medical evaluation. Please see a doctor asap.See 1 more doctor answer
Probably normal: If your 2yo is otherwise well, likely he or she is just more shakey unpon awakening which is completely normal. If, however, shakiness persists all day, if it reoccurs when he/she is hungry, if you notice increased hunger and thirst, or if he/she is otherwise not well and not thriving, see your pediatrician.See 1 more doctor answer
Symptoms:nauseous, dry heaves, throwing up, loss of appetite, fever, hot and cold flashes, migraines, flushed skin, & uncontrollable shakes. Diagnosis?
Sick: You have listed a number of symptoms describing an illness that could represent a viral stomach flu. Food poisoning could be considered. Headache and nausea are also symptoms that could represent meningitis. In any case, a diagnosis can't be made without proper history and exam.See 1 more doctor answer

Why are there different prep instructions before having a sibo small intestinal bacterial overgrowth test? Can I have Ensure shakes a few days before
Prep instructions.: You have heard the saying "there are different ways to skin a cat." Different doctors have found different preps that have worked for them or that they have learned in their truing programs. I would says if it says you can have Ensure then yes. Otherwise unless you call and receive permission then no. Sometimes the littlest changes in preparation can ruin the test.
The shakes I get in my head are frightening. Neurologist don't know what they are. What tests would you recommend. They make me fall over to the right.
Without knowing: The details, her symptoms resemble a seizure disorder.
Simply: Your lifestyle. I can't say more with the info provided and it is always worthwhile to get a full medical evaluation. However drugs and alcohol contribute.
I'm not 100%: Certain I understand what your describing but I think this is a disturbing finding and needs evaluated by a Dr. Pronto. This sounds like something called nystagmus. It can be associated with some serious disorders and can also lead to visual disability. Please get this addressed.
My 2mo olds head shakes back n forth as if she's saying no. She has hydrocephalus that is treated. Nothing else I notice when this happens?
Titubation: The head bobbing from side to side is titubation and comes from damage to the midline cerebellum which is responsible for coordination and balance. While a shunt is helpful for diverting cerebrospinal fluid that is not absorbing properly, there may be a blockage or loculation of cerebrospinal fluid around the fourth ventricle. Updated imaging and an evaluation with the neurosurgeon is appropriate.
I have OCD and if I examine my hands by lifting them for some time they seem to shake. Does that have relation with OCD and its treatment is?
I am trying to loose weight & have took herbal tablets & protien shakes, how should I alter my diet to effectively lose weight?
Losing weight: To lose weight, get ur resting metabolism rate done (weight loss centers do this). This determines the total number of calories you need to lose 1-2lbs/week. Decreasing 500cal/day will give you a 1lb wt loss in 1wk; drink water (1/2 your body weight), eat small meals about 150-200cal 2-4x/ (depending on your metabolism rate) and 500cal/meal at night: lean protein/veggies; avoid carbs, .
Get checked: This could be happening for multiple reasons. It would be good to bring it to the attention of your doctor. They can determine if your child need further testing.See 1 more doctor answer
Taking protein shakes and amino acid tabs could leads to varicoceles or any testicular issues? What are the side effects of these supplements?
No? But Also No Data: By law, dshea 1994, see fda.Gov, for all dietary supplements, the manufacturer/marketer/seller are exempt from evaluating or proving claims of efficacy or safety. The bigger issue, my view, is why purchase expensive processed food waste rather than cheaper real food. All meats & to a? extent most above ground vegetables are? protein; i.e. Large molecules built from Amino Acids per genetic code.See 1 more doctor answer
I wanted to know are protein shakes necessary to consume? And what are the side effects? I don't want to risk my health and don't know, should I consume?
Eat Healthy: If you eat 3 square meals of balanced diet daily you will not need supplements like protein shakes etc. There is ample amount of protein in Milk, meats, fish, eggs and Nuts. If you have anyone or more of these foods daily, you will do fine. Of course keep yourself fit by exercise daily and maintain a healthy weight.
