Could fingering (finger sex) the day before a pap smear cause false negative results? I.E. Cause it to show normal when actually abnormal
No effect on test:
The pap smear takes cell samples from your cervix, which is the bottom part of the uterus. Any debris in the vagina is separate from the inner canal of the cervix.

With testing, your dr should be able to quickly tell you whether anything further needs to be done, such as a biopsy or colposcopy (looking at the cervix using a magnifying scope).
