Yes and No: You should not use any narcotic medication for joint pain related to arthrograms. NSAID such as motrin or tylenol (acetaminophen) may help. I think that joint pains related to the arthrogram can in part be related to a patient's sensitivity to one or more of the drugs used in the study, but not an allergy as such. Cortisone Take time: The medication fights inflammation. The more you had the slower it works. Keep taking chondroitin and wait another week.
