Does the "pull out" method during sex always work?

Does the "pull out" method during sex always work?

No, unreliable!: To get pregnant sperm needs to enter the vagina during or around the time of ovulation. At times, there is the chance that "pre ejaculate" or "pre-cum as a slang" has some sperm cells in it, so please do not rely on the Pull-out method for Birth Control! Use BC pills and condoms as well to prevent both Pregnancy and STI's. ...Read more

Unprotected sex for 2 months using pull out method, bleeding after sex. Fertile this week and bleeding with cramping. Have 17 days left until period.

Doctor check up: Anytime you have bleeding after intercourse, that's not normal and I would recommend a check up with your doctor. Using the pull out method we had sex b4 my most fertile day I missed my period but I'm not regular anyways & showing no pregnancy signs I'm 17 help?

Can get pregnant...: Teen girls can get pregnant very easily because they are healthy, young, and fertile. The "pull-out" method is not reliable for preventing pregnancy (but condoms work great). A urine pregnancy test gives a reliable result, if done correctly, 1 week after missing a period or 3 weeks after sex. Getting pregnant as a teen can really mess up school and career plans, so think smartly and plan ahead. ...Read more

I am on birth control, use condoms and, did pull out method. I had sex 4 days apart 2 different me. I'm having bloating and discharge. Am I pregnant?

Check a test: We would not have any way to know if you are pregnant. You can do a home pregnancy test any time you like and you will have your answer. Seems unlikely since you are on birth control and used condoms. ...Read more

Been on BC for 2 yrs, took pill 9hrs late one time. Sex on 5th day of new pack, pull out method used. Now a lot of discharge, normal? Risks?

Been on BC for 2 yrs, took pill 9hrs late one time. Sex on 5th day of new pack, pull out method used. Now a lot of discharge, normal? Risks?

Likely your ok: It sounds like your pretty consistent with your BC and the 9hr late one time is ok. Just don't keep doing it. But I would advise you use condoms as well for protection from Sexually transmitted disease. BC does not protect you. Pulling out method is not BC at all. If you want a better form of BC, I would advise the implantable Nexplanon or an IUD. ...Read more

Had unprotected sex (pull out method) took plan b following morning. Next day after plan be had unprotected sex for a couple of mins. Take it again?

"Taken and stirred": Yes, Plan B needs to be "taken " again as the vagina was "stirred" a second time after the last treatment. You do know that there are contraceptive pills (and other devices) that you can drink as well that work much better than Plan B but require just a "little forethought." ...Read more

Been having unprotected sex (pull out method)& I'm guessing I'm ovulating since I have a clear odorless gooeydischarge, it's been 3 days though normal?

Keep "guessing": Ovulation can occur at any time in the menstrual cycle but is more common 14 days before the onset of the next menstrual period. Sometimes there is increased "stretchiness" to the cervical mucous. Avoiding pregnancy is very dicey as semen with sperm escape prior to ejaculation or "pullout" and the wrong "guess" results in a certain undesired pregnancy. Please use contraception to avoid STD's & PG ...Read more
