Seek pain doc or psych doc w/Ketamine Inf Treat 4 MDD in Atlanta GA. I'm 52 M chronic pain patient Dx w/MDD, GAD, PTSD. Medicare. Want to Save My Life?
Hang in there: Treatment with ketamine in MDD is a very new theoretical approach that has only just begun being tested (ie, not FDA app.). For now, my best advice would be to find a psychiatrist who you can really partner with to find optimal Rx treatment & concomitantly offers psychotherapy - as it offers you the best chance 4 success. Have you tried tapentadol? Might be something to think about. Good luck! ...Read more

DUE TO MAJOR DEPRESSION, I NEED A MATURE PSYCHIATRIST WHO ACCEPTS MEDICARE INSURANCE IN SAN FRANCISCO.
Hospitalization: Sometimes people with dementia need to be in the hospital -- especially when they have an acute change in their mental status. Many medical conditions need to be ruled out, and treated as needed. Families often bring their elderly family members to er's, asking for help. This may best be provided on medical psychiatric units, where staff is skilled and comfortable working with such people. ...Read more

Where would u have child's MRI w/sedation- children's hospital outpatient center or hospital? Imaging director said only difference is no "code team"?
Hard to say: Many facilities are unique in their approach to this issue and follow strict guidelines on who is present for such a study. In my area they require an anesthesiologist or nurse anesthetist be present whose only job is tending to the patient continuously. A code team down the hall doesn't seem better than a one on one with the leader of such a team. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Are there any cardiac rehab phase 3 outpatient facilities in western suffolk county ny (islip, bayshore patchouge)?
My friend mmt(methadone) dr(not psychiatrist)rx him citalopram&s-valporate for uni-p mdd, its good rx?My psych advices bupropion on phone.Best regards.
Interesting issues: If you feel your friend needs to see an actual psychiatrist, you can encourage him or her to do so. If by "psych" you mean psychiatrist, you're putting him/her in an awkward position by asking for some kind of second-guessing on a patient s/he hasn't seen. If the "psych" (could also mean psychologist) suggests med changes anyway, it's ill-informed. His/her comments could also be misinterpreted. ...Read more
Do an online search: There are doctors in each community. To start, an adult woman needs an internist or family practitioner, plus an obgyn doctor. A man needs an internist or family practitioner. Also, one can check his own insurer's website for doctor's names. ...Read more

What is the criteria to be admitted into a pediatric psych ward at a children' hospital? Anorexia, Depression, Anxiety, Self-Harm, Suicidal Ideation.
Many: factors can lead to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization . How to handle self-harm/suicidal urges AT HOME, without psychiatric help, hospitals, psych units, therapists or professionals. Self-help only please.
Suicidal/Self-harm: The basic thing to remember is that these urges always are time-limited- as bad as they feel, they always go away, so your strategy, planned in advance is best, is to get with someone who cares about you, don't stay alone. Occupy yourself with activity, with a person, if possible, do something to burn off the feelings- aerobic exercise is powerful in reducing depression, do daily!! ...Read more
