What happens if you file a complaint with the american board of pediatrics?

What happens if you file a complaint with the american board of pediatrics?

Good question: I don't see a way to file a complaint with abp. However, if you really feel that your pediatrician has done something wrong, please start a conversation with him/her. Pediatricians are extremely interested in helping your child and can even suggest second opinions. The abp maintains specialty certification, the worst they could do was revoke certificaiton, but not a medical license to practice.

Why does the american academy of pediatrics say not to exceed a maximum of 32oz of formula in 24hrs?

Obesity: Excessive formula delivers excessive calories thus leading to obesity. There are studies that show excessive weight in infancy can lead to obesity in childhood - which can lead to various other medical problems. Sometimes a baby cries - it is not always related to hunger.

Are clipboards at pediatrics offices germy?

Are clipboards at pediatrics offices germy?

Yes: Almost everything in the pediatric office carries germs, including books, toys and even the doctor's stethoscope. Most offices try to clean these items but it would be very difficult to clean everything between each patient. Hand washing is a good idea when you leave using soap and water or hand sanitizer which should be available in each room.

Pediatrics only. Feel rushing fluids and gurgling in 6wk babe. I hv very fast milk she drinks 90 gulps in 90 seconds and full. Causing peristalsis?

Pediatrics only. Feel rushing fluids and gurgling in 6wk babe. I hv very fast milk she drinks 90 gulps in 90 seconds and full. Causing peristalsis?

Normal:-): 6 week olds have very loud gurgly tummies. I call them "volcano belly". This is normal and is not related to the speed of your milk flow, though yours does sound fast. Persistalsis is the term for the normal movement of the intestines. So yes, the milk is causing peristalsis because it is supposed to. If your baby is gaining weight easily, relax mama and enjoy your 90 second speed feedings.

My son was born in July 2014 and Within in 4 months his left testicle shrank from normal size to very small. None of pediatrics, while performing routine checks (after he was immediately born, 3-4 wellness visit check) noticed this and now after 4 month

My son was born in July 2014 and Within in 4 months his left testicle shrank from normal size to very small. None of pediatrics, while performing routine checks (after he was immediately born, 3-4 wellness visit check) noticed this and now after 4 month

? small testis: It is important to have him checked by a Pediatric Urologist so they could diagnose and handle the situation as soon as the problem needs further management. This is a general professional advice limited to USA patients based on information provided and is to be verified by a Physician familiar with the patient

Does fda approved aromatase inhibitors in pediatrics?

Probably never will: Many of the drugs we use in pediatric oncology are never approved by the fda for treatment of a particular pediatric cancer. Once it gains fda approval for an adult disease indication, we then can study it in clinical trials, and if warranted, use it.
