You got it: An infection. The anus was not designed for sex. There are numerous bacteria in there that are not "safe" for the genitalia. That's why it's called "high risk behavior". You are at elevated risk for several std's as well and damaging your anus.

Yeast: Most likely this is a yeast or Monilia infection and can be treated with an anti-fungal cream. These are sometimes spontaneous, sometimes occur after taking an antibiotic and rarely can be an early sign of diabetes.

I've got bad pain in my lower abdomen and very painful when I pass urine and I've noticed stringy blood and light blood when I wipe?

See a doctor: Blood in the urine is not normal and could signal infection or stone, among other possibilities. Your doctor can help sort this out.

I have left side pelvic pain, nausea, frequent but not painful urination, a polyp found 10 days before period was due when wiped in last 2wk any ideas?

See a doctor: Would need far more info and an exam to begin to speculate, but pelvic pain of this nature may be due to ovarian cysts, tubal or ovarian infections, even appendicitis (and must be suspicious of this because of the nausea). There are other possibilities and would suggest you go and be seen. UK has a great health care system with well trained medical personnel. Good luck.

Expired mirena (levonorgestrel) for 6-7yrs. In place, very painful intercourse, bleeding after sex, pressure/fullness in vagina, pink discharge when I wipe after urinating?

Expired mirena (levonorgestrel) for 6-7yrs. In place, very painful intercourse, bleeding after sex, pressure/fullness in vagina, pink discharge when I wipe after urinating?

Mirena (levonorgestrel): First, the Mirena (levonorgestrel) should be withdrawn as its useful term has expired. The bleeding after sex could be due to the mirena, (levonorgestrel) however, it could also occur due to problems with the cervix. The pink discharge you see when wiping could be from a uti. In all, you need an exam and pap smear to rule out infection in the pelvis, bladder and cervix, and to rule out precancerous lesions of the cervix.

When I urinate it's a normal color, but, when I wipe it's a light brown color. What is this?

When I urinate it's a normal color, but, when I wipe it's a light brown color. What is this?

Sounds like.....: As described, it sounds like your urinary tract is stable, but you may have some inflammation in your vaginal area causing the brownish appearing color on the toilet tissues. If you are not having your period, then get an evaluation and some possible testing by the GYN dr. To determine where the issue may be coming from, etc. Best wishes.

UTI/uretritis: Pain on urination with a little of blood in a young female is usually due to a urinary tract infection, which is very common in females. I hear that using tissue to wipe after urination is bad for your healthy. It is said that we should only wash it by water. Do we also need to dry it?

I hear that using tissue to wipe after urination is bad for your healthy. It is said that we should only wash it by water. Do we also need to dry it?

Nothing wrong...: It is nothing wrong to use tissue to tap & soak the last lingering drops of urine, which is effective and simple, especially in some with postvoid dribbling, which could be helped with urethral milking for men and draining the possible drops in the introitus by leaning forward. More? Ask experts like urologists for specifics and details.

For the past month when I urinate I've noticed that when I wipe the TP is pink, & today I urinated in a cup and noticed stringy blood. What can it be?

For the past month when I urinate I've noticed that when I wipe the TP is pink, & today I urinated in a cup and noticed stringy blood. What can it be?

Likely vaginal blood: Most likely you are seeing vaginal blood, however it should be evaulated. Bleeding from any source for a month is abnormal. If the blood is truly in your urine, that is very concerning. If it is vaginal, it could still be significant, but there are more nonserious possibilites. Bottom line: take a pregnancy test and go to your doctor.
