I have undergone an ACL replacemet surgery 3 months ago.I have been doing physiotheraphy for 2 & 1/2 months.I still get a pain in the back of the knee?

Not uncommon postop: Postoperative swelling within (effusion) and around the knee is not uncommon out to 3+ months after major acl reconstruction. It also depends upon the status of the remainder of your knee. Assuming the radiographs look fine, and no problems were noted at surgery, there should be nothing other then fluid pushing out via the back of the knee. The posterior aspect is more sensitive and pain is noted. ...Read more

I am experiencing a cold and wet sensation in my left calf. Have also been experiencing pain in back of knee. Foot bone issues as well. Why the cold?

Sensations vary: If there is swelling not related to infection, it can reduce blood supply to the area and blood keeps the temp up to normal - when it's less, the area gets cooler. Massage or rubbing gently can sometimes bring blood in to warm it up. See a Dr for physical therapy referral and Rx devices if possible. Problems of this sort can influence other systems and are worth treating! ...Read more

Locking isn't normal: Arthroscopic knee surgery is great to remove torn meniscus cartilage and loose pieces but it is not great to treat symptoms from arthritis.
