Are newer, tiny moles a cause for concern? Moles kinda run in my family, but should I be worried if I have a few new small moles on my chest/body?
No: Get yourself familiar with the criteria for melanoma, especially because you have obsessive-compulsive disorder. A mole that has not yet gotten the look of a melanoma is not a danger to your life, as it's going to stay within your outer skin until it's looking ugly. You'll continue to develop little pigmented lesions throughout your lifetime. Glad you're keeping an educated eye on them. ...Read more
I have a new mole that appeared 2 months ago. It's raised, a pinkish-orange color (my other moles are brown), and now feels dry and itchy whereas a few weeks ago it felt "normal". Should I be worried?

Much depends on where this is on your skin; but if your 'mole' is smooth, symmetrical, color is consistent and the borders are not irregular, the risk that this is a cancer is less. If it gets more worrisome, let a doctor examine it. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
