Nerve Pain From Renal Cyst Aspiration

Cervical extradural cyst from TBI,appx 1/3 sz of canal,pushing spinal cord up.Weakness arms/hands,sluggish,severe neck/shoulder pain r side.Removal?
Had lap surg to remove fluid from ovarian cyst thought to be irritating sacral nerves causing sciatica pain. How long post op should it take for nerve pain to resolve? Spine already cleared by mri
Sciatica: True sciatica is leg pain that shoots from back, down the leg past the knee. This mimics the path of the sciatic nerve, thus it's name. Mri of the spine or pelvis would serve to differentiate in most cases if exam and history is not clear. Young patients more likely to have herniated disc. Older patients, pressure from arthritic spurs. All can be treated non-surgically if not getting worsunrelated. ...Read more
Pudenal neuralgia, ddd, fibroids , l4-l6 damage, chronic pelvic pain, cervical stenosis, cyst on ovary, cervical radidiculitis to name a few. Opioids?
At part of a pain: Control program, perhaps. Opioids should virtually never be the sole response to chronic pain. Neuropathic pain may respond to other treatments like gabapentin, Gabitril (tiagabine) and tricyclic antidepressants in low doses. Hormonal treatment may improve pelvic pain, myomectomy stop fibroid related problems. Opioids produce physical dependency, may cause rebound pain (hyperalgesia) and addiction in some. ...Read more

MRI shows cyst in anterior cortex of distal femur and small joint effusion. Could this be causing my constant pain and can cyst be drained/treated?
There are many: types of "cystic" bone lesions and most do not represent true fluid-filled cysts. Some types of these lesions are completely innocuous and require no treatment, others can be more serious. So it is difficult to render an opinion without evaluating the images or at least knowing the specific description in the MRI report. ...Read more
Which is more likely to cause caudal equina syndrome: a tarvol cyst, a lesion in thecal sac at l4, or nerve damage from tvt bladder sling and removal?
Maybe combo, prob L4: The tarlov cyst is like a pimple or a freckle, this is usually nothing but it might be taking up space "crowding" the nearby tissues, although unlikely. If there is a lesion in the thecal sac, this is the most likely cause, but i'm not knowing what the "lesion" is. The bladder sling shouldn't be able to contribute. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Ultrasound shows 14 CM renal cyst. experiencing low back and sciatic pain on the same side. Can this cyst be causing my pain by pressing on the nerve?
Have abdominal pain, low back pain and nausea. Full spine MRI showed bilateral follicular ovarian cysts. Is this from that or can it be ovarian cancer?
Obgyn evaluation: Individual cases will need to be interpreted one on one. Follicular cysts are fairly common findings and although most cause no symptoms sometimes they can cause discomfort. Follicular cysts do not really look similar to ovarian cancer on MRI. You should ask the ordering physician to review the report with you and go over the specific findings. ...Read more
