Contamination: Unless you have symptoms of a bladder infection, it could be contamination. If you have symptoms of pain with urination, frequent urination, or urgent urination, then it may be a real infection with a contaminated specimen. With symptoms, urine also should be sent for chlamydia and GC. A repeat clean-catch with mid-stream urine after cleansing the head of the penis is also a good plan. ...Read more

Here are some...: The reported findings suggest possible contamination during urine collection, but may be still significant in UTI. Thus, always correlate the findings with clinical profile not by number alone. So, at times, empirical short-term antibiotic use is till warranted. More on UTI? UA stating >100,000 or/ml beta strep Group B and also mixed flora. Is this positive for Uti? 1 provider said it is and one said it isn't.

Kind of both right: The amount of bacteria in the culture enough for UTI, but the organism is not the usual organism for a UTI
one provider said yes because the amount is right.
The other one said no because the organism is not right and consider the culture contaminated.
Get another culture, with a clean catch and see if that will break the tie ...Read more
