Arteries and veins carry blood around the body. Fluid leaks out and bathes the tissues and is returned to the heart by a system of vessels termed the lymphatic system. Without it fluid would accumulate in tissues which would gradually expand.

They often manifest as swelling and may or may not have other issues like breathing impairment, especially of on the neck. They may be treated with surgery, drainage of fluid, or just observation.
