Torn left knee meniscus twice, torn right achillis tendon, and symptoms of right knee meniscus tear after mri, no trauma, what could be the cause?!

Some activity: You do not have to have a specific injury to cause a meniscal tear.

tear from repetitive activities such as running
basketball and other pseudotraumatic sports

plyometrics to help prevent further problems. ...Read more

Hurt at work, left knee, horizontal meniscus tear. Right knee, oblique tear medial meniscus. Do I need surgery?

Meniscus Tear: With that kind of specific knowledge your must have had an MRI of your knees. Without a knowledge of your symptoms and exam of your knees it is impossible to know wether you need surgery or not. Ten days out surgery to repair both meniscus in left knee, ankle and foot swollen. Sonogram for clot negative. What to do for normal?

Rest, ice & elevate!: Some swelling after surgery is normal. The amount and location may not be. The type of surgery is important, but post-op care is a very big factor. Simple ice and elevation with range of motion exercises when called for can prevent or reduce swelling. Sometimes rest alone with elevation of the feet to eye level for several days will do it. Joint surgery usually requires motion to heal properly. ...Read more

What is the difference between an orthoscopic surgery for a knee meniscus and a repair?

What is the difference between an orthoscopic surgery for a knee meniscus and a repair?

Repair vs removal: Both procedures are completed arthroscopically through small, fingernail sized incisions. You may have a meniscus repair or a partial menisectomy (removal). The repair is ideal, if possible, for preventing arthritic changes, but requires a longer recovery time. In either case recovery is relatively quick. Post-op rehab will concentrate on motion, & quad strength. Discuss options with your surgeon! ...Read more

I had ACL surgery 2 yrs ago and I have bad pain on the inside of my knee. Meniscus wasn't repaired.?

Meniscus=NotRepaired: By surgery. Only tears/pieces removed which may get trapped in narrow joint spaces & further compound cartilage damage. A likely better approach: combine Nutrasense glucosamine+chondroitin (molecular building blocks of cartilage, US produced) twice daily plus guidance from a physical therapist experienced in Robin McKenzie methods of teaching people how to recover function better than surgery. ...Read more

What are the symptoms of having a medial extrusion in the left knee? Would this be a mensicus tear? Does this require surgery? Pain on the medial side

Prob Meniscus: Although the phrase "medial extrusion" is an unusual description of a condition of the knee, it sounds as if you are dealing with a medial meniscus tear with instability of the meniscus. Most meniscal injuries/tears will not heal on their own due to the lack of blood supply. Surgery is therefore often indicated. See an orthopaedic surgeon for evaluation. ...Read more

i think the best way to evaluate it would be
to perform an mri
