Im taking prescription ibuprofen pain in my ankles, 800milligrams. Is it safe to also take regular strength tylenol (acetaminophen) with that 325miligrams?
Check with your Doc: I would contact the dr who prescribed you the Ibuprofen before you begin taking the tylenol (acetaminophen). 2 cautions: One must not exceed 4, 000 mg of tylenol (acetaminophen) in 24 hours. You don't mention what strength of medication you're taking or how often you take it, so i can't comment on the "3". But if you stay <4, 000 mg, you're okay. Avoid prolonged use of Aspirin and tylenol (acetaminophen) because the combination can cause kidney damage if taken over the long term.
