I Have Been On Zoloft For About 6 Weeks And Have Had 2 Episodes Of Verigo At Night That Last A Few Days
I have been having mycolnic jerks the second I almost drift off to sleep a couple of times for the past 6 months. Should i be worried?
Stop worrying: It is quite normal for a few myoclonic jerks to occur as one enters initial sleep cycle, and this is NOT a sleep disorder. If the jerks disrupt your sleep in midst of night, this might signify Paroxysmal Limb Movements in Sleep (AKA, nocturnal myoclonus), a variant of restless leg syndrome, and that may need to be addressed. ...Read more
I am on the cerelle pill and have been for 6 month and I have had little bleeding but all of a sudden I have been bleeding for about 2 weeks ?
Breakthrough bleed: Breakthrough bleeding (bleeding at the wrong time) is very common on birth control. It happens in about 1/3 of users. Its no big deal and usually self corrects over time. If you are not satisfied or it continues to happen then consider using a different birth control method. It is a common side effect and does not mean something is wrong or that the pill is not working. ...Read more

I was diagnosed with pcos and have been on the pill for a year. A month ago I went off . The last couple weeks my boobs have grown, are these related?
Are you pregnant?: Stopping the pill should not change the size of your breasts. If anything, some women notice that taking a birth control pill increases the size of their breasts. The other major causes of breast enlargement are: significant weight gain or, of course pregnancy. Women with pcos can ovulate and get pregnant so check a pregnancy test it you don't get a period soon. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Skipping meds: Skipping your meds for 2 nights in a row should not affect your menstrual period. But if continued, this practice could set you up for more difficulties than missed periods. Please discuss with your physician(s) so that you are covered appropriately for all conditions. If concerned about side effects you can discuss these with them. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Diverticulitis: You should see a surgeon who can evaluate the extent of disease with your sigmoid colon. If you have had more than two attacks, it's time to have that part of your colon removed. Since stopping adderall 2 months ago. Now on Zoloft for attacks, I've been getting these short vertigo feeling attacks when moving around or standing?
Hard to say: You don't say what you were on Adderall for, or why it was stopped. You also don't say what kind of "attacks" you were put on Zoloft for, although I will assume they were panic attacks. Vertigo can be a side effect of many medications, including Zoloft, but can have other causes. You need to talk about this with the prescriber and/or your pharmacist, and get a full physical evaluation. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Does Zoloft (sertraline) usually cause dizziness or vertigo when first started? Also when getting off the drug does it cause dizziness or vertigo?
Both can happen: Many people report mild dizziness, or a "drugged" feeling, when first starting an ssri like zoloft (sertraline). This usually stops after a day or two, and very often by a week. If it persists or is severe, talk to your doctor. Similar symptoms can happen if zoloft is stopped too suddenly. Note: vertigo is a special kind of dizziness (the room "spins"), & is not as often associated with ssris. ...Read more
Is the dizziness that some people get from taking Zoloft (sertraline) a spinning (vertigo) feeling or is it more like lightheaded off balance? How bad is it?
Dizziness: Zoloft (sertraline) doesn't commonly cause dizziness or lightheaded feeling, although, i assume it probably can. There is no telling what yours will be like. Different people experience and describe different symptoms so there is no telling in your case. The range of severity from mild to severe. ...Read more
I want to start zoloft (sertraline). I am terrfied it will make me dizzy or create vertigo?! is this common? Also in scared for widthdrawl when i come off it? Help
"TERRIFIED"?: Anxiety itself can cause dizziness, often from hyperventilation as a physiological response. Many anxious people are hyper-vigilant of body sensations, fearing they indicate life-threatening issues. Zoloft (sertraline) can definitely help chronic anxiety, but >10% of people may experience dizziness with it. This also leaves 90% of people who don't! hoping you continue psychotherapy for anxiety along with this. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
I have tinnitus is Paxil (paroxetine) of Zoloft safer i am coming off of citalapram, it made my tinnitus worse,I am afraid of new drugs, I once had viral vertigo, ?
Good question: Citalopram made your tinnitus worse. I understand this. You have been offered two other medications. You are fearful of new drugs. Not knowing the exact mechanism that lead to the worsening of the tinnitus with Citalopram makes it difficult to predict how you will respond to either of the replacement meds. My approach then would be to target the tinnitus. You need to discuss this with your doctor ...Read more

Maybe 2 weeks: It may take a couple of weeks for your body to get adjusted to the antidepressant. Initial symptoms Include an increase in anxiety, nausea, diarrhea and restlessness. If you stick to your prescribed regimen those initial symptoms will go away. Zoloft (sertraline) dose?: Has your dose of zoloft (sertraline) been raised? Gi side effects like diarrhea can be dose-related. Call your doctor -- but you may need to back down on the dose and see if the diarrhea dissipates. Make sure you drink enough fluids with electrolytes in the meantime. A probiotic as suggested by dr. Been taking Zoloft (sertraline) for almost a year however I forgot to take it the last 4 days and I just took it, is this bad. 25 mil.
Abrupt stop not good: Zoloft (sertraline) is one of the drugs that require a slow taper when you want to stop taking it. (decrease dosage a little at a time over days or weeks, depending on dose). You may have experienced some side effects from stopping it suddenly. 25 mg. is a low dose, so perhaps it was not serious. If you desire to continue the drug, just resume your usual dosing schedule. Check with your doctor to be sure! ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Depressive relapse: It's that time of year again. You could have a seasonal mood disorder component, or your zoloft (sertraline) may have hit a plateau and need an increase. Just started taking 150mL of wellbutrin (bupropion) 5 days ago(along with 25mg Zoloft), have been feeling weird the last 2 nights(anxiety, heavy head). Bad???
Initial reaction: It appears that you are experiencing an initial reaction to the norepinephrine and dopamine action, which is the basic pharmacologic effect of Wellbutrin (bupropion). It is advisable to start with the immediate release Bupropion, at 37.5 mg daily for about a week, increase to 75 mg and then the Wellbutrin (bupropion) XL 150 mg daily. If you also started the Zoloft recently, that could also cause some initial side effects ...Read more

What should I do I have been feeling nausea and dizziness for two days now no other symptoms ?!? Hist: PCOS HTN Lisinopril10mg Zoloft (sertraline) 50mg
Rest, fluids: These symptoms are very commonly associated with a viral syndrome, often a GI virus. Or perhaps a virus is affecting your inner ear and that labarynthitis is making you dizzy, then nauseated like car sickness. Fortunately these symptoms usually go away on their own in a short time. Rest, drink fluids, consider OTC dramamine (dimenhydrinate). But contact your doctor in another couple days if persists. ...Read more

Psychotherapy: I hear you. Psychotherapy is an important part of the treatment for anxiety. What you learn there can far outlast medication effects. Please don't rely on pharmaceuticals alone for your recovery -- but changes can be made in those too. ...Read more
