I always feel like I need to cough. What could be causing this symptom?

One of symptom of CHF is cough, can ACE inhibitors be used as it also causes cough.

CHF: Treatment of congestive heart failure is complex. One of the most important medications is an ace inhibitor to improve the cardiac function. I : I think it is awesome that you care so much about your brother. I can tell you that are really worried. Unfortunately, this type of email forum isn't for diagnosing medical conditions. It is more for people to ask medical guestions and the doctors provide medical information. I know that it is has to be frustrating not to know the cause of his cough and headaches but the doctors who talk to him, examine him and see his test results are in the best position to try to develop a accurate diagnosis. Possibly: It is possible to develop lymph nodes around the head, face, and/or neck in the setting of a cold. If it concerns you that much seeking reassurance with a doctor in person isn't going to hurt you. Alternatively, you could closely monitor the "node", if it isn't going away over the next several weeks please seek help in person. If it is getting larger or more painful seek help sooner! Response to therapy: Assuming that you have narrowed the cause of your cough down to these things, it all depends on your response to medical therapy and avoidance of triggers. Your doctor could help with a trial of an inhaler like albuterol and you could also try medicines that are available over the counter for GERD and allergies. If you respond to symptomatic care, that may be al that you need. Also consider URIs. ...Read more

Smoker with anxiety symptoms. Cough mucus short of breath. Heard quitting causes shortness of breath. I ALREADY can't breathe. Nervous to try.

You can quit: There's a rarely mentioned fact I know: The smoking breath pattern - In, Hold, Exhale (fully, slowly) thru lips - is very, very good for you. That pattern alone can lower BP (for awhile) and makes you feel really good. When smokers quit, they lose this advantage. Some of the distress is due to this. You can win by continuing to do the breath pattern w/out the cigarette! 'Smoke' w/out cigarettes! ...Read more

Other then bacterial and fungal infection, are there any other types of infections that can caused granuloma of lung and nodules and symptoms of cough?

Granuloma: Granuloma of the lungs is typically caused by a fungal infection. A doctor may make a diagnosis of granuloma by chest x-ray or, if the granuloma is not apparently calcified, by computerized tomography (ct), which can detect the calcium that isn't evident on the chest x-ray. The images of affected tissue usually show scarring and calcification characteristic of a granuloma. ...Read more
