High Blood Pressure (Hypertension) (Overview)

Also known as hypertension, high blood pressure occurs when blood pressure is 140/90 or higher. A systolic blood pressure (top number) is the pressure the blood exerts on the artery when the heart is at maximum contraction and a diastolic blood pressure (bottom number) is the pressure the blood exerts on the artery when the heart is at maximum relaxation.

If the "stret..." of your question was going to turn into "stretch marks", then you are describing the condition Cushing's Syndrome--signs and symptoms due to excessive cortisol/cortisone. Have you been using steroids? Otherwise these symptoms are unusual in an 18 year old. Overactive adrenal glands/pituitary issues can also cause. Not for you!: You need a good internist who will work you up and treat you appropriately. U say you have hi BP, hi Creatinine (prob. kidney damage). You don't want to take a sodium salt if your kidneys are sick. I don't know what other medical issues you have but you live near UCLA and Cedars-Sinai. Get a good internist there and get treated right, not by the quack who treated Michael Jackson! ...Read more
