RUQ pain: There are many potential causes of right upper quadrant pain after gallbladder removal. It is possible that it could be related to a retained stone in the bile duct, but also the pancreas, small intestine, stomach, and kidneys can all cause pain in that area, in addition to other organs more rarely.
