Do: Do not delay seeking treatment. Since there appears to be sinus involvement the infection can spread to vital structures and potentially lead to a life threatening situation. This is one of the cases where I would recommend bypassing the dentist / oral and maxillofacial surgeon and going straight to an emergency room for evaluation and treatment as it sounds like the infection may have reached a point where hospital admission may be required.

What are ways to get rid of facial swelling from a abscessed tooth?

What are ways to get rid of facial swelling from a abscessed tooth?

Oral surgeon: See the oral surgeon. Many infections are so severe that drains must be placed to allow the infection to be released. This is not uncommon in facial swelling. Most often, though, it just takes time after the tooth is treated/extracted and the antibiotics complete their work. You might even need a second course of different antibiotics. Nothing to fool around with -- be seen right away.
