Vomiting: If you are not able to hold down liquids and feel that you are becoming dehydrated go to an ER immediately. If your mouth is dry, skin tents when you pinch it, pulse is very rapid, feel weak or dizzy when you stand up, have dry mouth, not urinating or volume very low and concentrated, feel thirst, are sleepy these are signs to pay attention to. Why wait?: Between now and whenever, you're likely to be worried and the child is likely to begin to become more upset and there is no reason to think it will just go away very soon - it's getting worse. Also staying hydrated is very important and 2 sips is not enough. Go noe to an urgent care or er if you can't see your regular doctor (being sunday). Need to see someone: At this point, you need to have stool culture and be started on treatment. Have you tried any over the counter Imodium (loperamide) to see if that diarrhea resolve? Any history of GI problems? So you have to go and see someone since the diarrhea is lasting more than 72 hours. ...Read more

Gas pain: Pain in abdomen that is relieved on its own by passing gas is know as gas pain. It can be felt as bad colic that self resolves. Cause of vomiting of a black, fairly large (1-1.5 inch) solid "fuzzy" material, along with undigested food that was consumed 3+ days ago?

Not entirely sure: Not clear what this is, but it is quite unusual sounding and vomiting undigested food from 3+ days ago is not a good sign - b/c it means you have not processed any food in 3+ days. Concern would be an obstruction somewhere, but must be evaluated in conjunction with other sign/symptoms and findings on exam. Dehydration and electrolyte imbalance must also be evaluated and treated urgently if present. ...Read more
