Do Pimples Turn Into Lipomas
I have lipoma on my shoulder, I applied pressure to it and tried to pop like a pimple. It sprayed a fowl smelling substance for a month. Is this safe?
Lipoma: The lesion you mention may not be a lipoma. Typically, a lesion of the skin and skin structures that expresses foul-smelling substance is a epidermal inclusion cyst or sebaceous cyst. These are benign lesions, but can become infected. You should seek medical attention and have this looked at as you may require antibiotics and then removal. ...Read more

I had a big pus filled pimple on corner of my testis its not paining when it squeezes it s lightly paining?
Probably a cyst...: Your described "pimple" hints the presence of overactive hyperplasia of sebaceous gland or sebaceous cyst. If so, leave it alone and don't squeeze it. Such cyst may grow in size over time and even occasionally get infected but not common. Besides, the number of such cyst may increase over time, but unpredictable. So, live on and enjoy life. ...Read more

Concerns: Much as it is tempting - please do not pick/squeeze at pimples! If they haven't matured this can cause more irritation and cause more risk for secondary infection. More info, please: I would like to answer your question, but I am uncertain what you mean by "popped". Lipomas are benign tumors usually found just below the skin, anywhere on the body. In general, these are removed if they cause discomfort or are growing. Surgical removal can often be done under local anesthesia in an office setting. It is often easy to make a scar smaller than the lump, and "pop" it out. ...Read more
