Relatively common: Stool retention is relatively common. Successful treatment requires a plan of scheduled emptying, long term use of stool softeners or wetting agents (like miralax), & work by the kid & parents for as much as a year or two. Borderline low: You may need some Potassium Chloride tablets to supplememt. You are loosing potassium because of hctz (hydrochlorothiazide), (hydrochlorothiazide) a diuretic most likely.
