Other options: If you are concerned about misdiagnosis ask your provider to do a new assessment or seek second opinion by another provider. I have found that with low grade, chronic depression (dysthymia) that meds alone don't seem very effective. It has a great deal to do with mind-set, so without talking therapy improvements are minimal. Talk with your doctor about adding in cognitive behavioral therapy. ...Read more
