Doctor insights on:
Crying = release of tears in response to emotions.
What might cause crying after sex? Sometimes (not a common thing) after I climax, I burst into tears. Why?
Normal: An orgasm is a release of heightened sexual arousal. It is both physiological and emotional. Individuals sometimes scream out as if in great pain. Others might giggle. You and others sometimes burst into tears. All of these types of responses to the emotional aspects of sexual release are considered normal.

Ok my daugther been on vyvnse for add for two weeks. When she takes a weekend break she gets very ill an mean an starts crying an very moody?
ADD Weekend break: Why is she even taking weekend breaks. Weekend brakes are not necessary with vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine). In her case, it's actually painful for her to be going through these episodes and the best thing would be to have her take it seven days a week. That's a decision you will make in conjunction with her psychiatrist. I do not put any of my vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) patients on weekend breaks.
Hi, my 5 yr old son wakes up crying with an itchy bottom. He's been treated for worms and has been taking movicol for the past month. No pattern. Thx?
Look at skin: If he's only been treated for pinworms once it might indicate a treatment failure. Local irritation from retained waste or tissue paper on the skin is also a possibility. Has the doctor examined the actually area or have treatments been prescribe based on symptoms? Look at the skin where it itches - is it inflamed/red? Is there a rash? If it looks totally normal then I would still consider worms.See 1 more doctor answer
Once I've tried a "freshly graduated" therapist, she wasn't really a help except that I was crying n talking. Shouldn't b there methods for treating?
Yes, there are ways: Sometimes it is not easy matching a patient with the right style of therapist (meaning a doctor of psychiatry, a doctor of psychology, or someone with a masters of psychology). The first couple of visits might be "get to know each other" visits. One's primary care doctor may know of therapists who have been helpful with his other patients. Ask for a recommendation from the primary doctor.
None: Crying is not a disease, a lot of normal babies cry significant amount of time per day. However one has to ensure that baby is not hungry, does not have wet dirty diaper and does not suffer from any sickness for example: colic, allergies, diaper dermatitis, meningitis and many others. In such instances treating disease will help to decrease crying spells.See 1 more doctor answer
My dad 53 yrs old is now arguing for everything, acting like a kid, crying, who was the most respected person in our family. How to cure him?
Cool compress: Try a running cold water over a clean washcloth. Wring it out to remove most of the water and then roll it up or fold it so that it can fit over your eyelids. Keep the cool compress there for a few minutes, take some deep breaths, relax, and things should improve. If there is still swelling but the compress has lost it's cool, repeat with more cold water. Hope that helps!See 1 more doctor answer
Treatment programs: Most people with long-standing drug problems (depends somewhat on the drug, which you don't list) cannot handle it all by themselves. There are many chemical dependency programs - you can google that name and your location and can find programs near you. Medical detoxification, psychiatric evaluation, medication for underlying problems, counseling, all may help you get back to a normal life.
Doctor to evaluate: A ten month-old baby who starts crying hourly at night has a problem and should see his doctor. The problem could be ear pain, throat ulcers, head ache, tummy pain, tight clothes, fever, or something else that's preventing him from staying asleep. He may be starting a new viral or bacterial illness. If he is much better in the morning, that is reassuring, but his doctor needs to evaluate him.See 1 more doctor answer
See below: Seek counseling. We all need someone and help in this life we lead. If you are stressed, anxious, depressed, get help asap. Best wishes.
My baby is heaving gas problem he is not sleeping crying a lot please tell me any solution his age is 1 n half n tell me gasi foods to avoid?
No: Not in the true sense of what addiction means (and doesn't mean). People use it as a term for anything they may like to do, or to compulsive behaviors, but it is a specific term with specific meanings. Crying can be cathartic - help us get rid of bad feelings, and as such that can be a good thing. You list hopelessness as a "condition" but it's depression and need treatment asap. See doctor asap
My 2 yr olds check up they said one of his testicle is not dropped, he has been grabbing them crying. His father had a herniated testie. Genetic?
Should get re-eval: Undescended testicle poses higher risk of developing testicular cancer and so surgical intervention is likely needed. At two yrs and it has not descended likely means it won't. This typically does not cause pain and so if he is crying, it maybe something else such as urinary tract infection--it burns when he pees. I suggest get him evaluated asap. Good luck.See 1 more doctor answer
Depends: If you have something to cry about, time will help. If you are crying for no reason, it strongly suggests that your emotional mechanisms are overactive. Strangely enough, this can be caused by poor diet--too much junk. This is because your "cellular engines" are "choked" just like a car with a high gas/oxygen ratio and inadequate ignition. Stop sugar intake.
Briefly: Crying briefly affects vision because the tears created with crying are somewhat irritating to the eyes and can cause redness as well. These are the same type of tears that are produced if something is irritating the eye (reflex tearing). Swelling of the lids associated with crying can also briefly affect the vision. There are no long term effects, however.
Crying can be: Emotionally cathartic. Studies show that v tension & negative affect occur during crying. Crying may suppress contentious behavior. Crying may also serve to ^ empathy in others & to solidify interpersonal bonds. Many people feel better both physically & emotionally after crying. However, this is not always the case across cultures & situations.
