I would like to know the length or time frames for the various stages of Lyme disease, from one's "innoculation", to late stage. Thankyou.?

Highly variable: Acute lyme symptoms can occur 3-30 days after innoculation and are generally non-specific flu-like symptoms, with a rash 70% of the time. This lasts a few days to a few weeks. "Late stage" symptoms can appear within weeks of infection but in some cases don't appear for years. A healthy immune system may keep lyme at bay until another stressor occurs. See my comment for more info & links. ...Read more

Is there anything else I could be doing to treat my late Lyme disease other than just taking the antibiotics? No noticeable improvement after 2 weeks

May take longer: Late lyme, disseminated throughout the body and often in cns, takes longer treatment to resolve. Several months. Also, many docs will use more than one antibiotic, to get the different forms of the lyme bacteria, like the spirochete, the cell wall deficient form and the cyst form. Supplements that improve immune system function also speed up recovery. ...Read more

Can Lyme disease cause adrenal insufficiency?

Lyme disease: There is much speculation, primarily in the lay press about "adrenal exhaustion" due to lyme disease. This seems to be purely theoretical and not based on any firm scientific evidence. The problem is that there is much we do not understand about lyme disease, and it has been the speculative cause of many unexplained illnesses. Stick to "proven" facts, and adrenal insufficiency is not. ...Read more
