DRS, i have chronic hepatitis b since 5 years. can i infect someone by lip kissing or sexual intercourse ?
Yes: Hepatitis B infections are present throughout the world, but are more common in certain population groups. The key is getting to know one's friend well enough to talk about these things before kissing (avoids transmitting Hep B and then apologizing). ...Read more
I am gay and had sex with a man who doesn't hv hep b & c. Will i get hep b & c by having sex with a man who does not hv hep b & c and is not infected?
No, but . . .: There is no easy way to know if someone is truly virus free since tests for viruses wont detect the virus for at least a couple of weeks. If there is one thing you can count on regarding your health it's that the disease or condition you fret about wont be what gets you; its going to be something you never thought of - syphilis, gonorrhea, herpes, etc Practice safe sex and you wont have to worry! ...Read more

Even if they've been tested there is a delay between when infected and when they have a positive test. PRACTICE SAFE SEX ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

The frequency of hep C in the heterosexual partners of infected persons is exactly the same as in anyone else. To be maximally safe, use condoms if you have sex with a partner known to have hep C. Otherwise no worries about sexual transmission. ...Read more
