Can I cut off a skin tag myself? Will it hurt?

String: If you have a skin tag or lesion with a narrow base, and you are sure it is not malignant, a useful way to deal with it is to take a length of stout thread (you might need a helper for this), and lasso the base with a loop of the thread, tie is tightly with 2-3 knots, cover with a piece of tape and wait a week for it to fall off without leaving a scar. ...Read more

I have a skin tag on my penis can i just sterilize some scissors and cut it off?

How do I remove sabs i had a tatoo done and now it sabing up and would like them off , how can I do without harmto skin and tatoo?

Hello. : Hello. If you pull off the scabs now, you may end up pulling off much more skin then intended. That could not only be painful and provide a venue for infection, but might also negatively impact the tattoo. Keep the area moisturized for now and contact your tattoo artist. He or she should have expertise on how to handle this without ruining the aesthetics of their art work. Good luck. ...Read more

I accidentally glued something to my tooth. How can I get it off safely?

I accidentally glued something to my tooth. How can I get it off safely?

Depends on glue : See your dentist. Depends on glue and the something. If it was superglue, it will eventually come off as the glue dissolves in the mouth -- may take days / weeks. If you can grab the something with your fingers or needlenose pliers, you might be able to twist it off. If it is soft enough, you might use an emery board to sand/file it off. If all else fails --see your dentist. Good luck. ...Read more

I burned myself on a coal. A thin layer of skin came off and my skin is white beneath. I don't see a blister. What do I do?

How can I get rid of a wart on my nose they have cut it out with a biopsy, and also tried to freeze it off but came back

How can I get rid of a wart on my nose they have cut it out with a biopsy, and also tried to freeze it off but came back

First, : First, i would presume the biopsy confirmed it was a wart? If so, i would recommend that you try liquid nitrogen treatment again but make sure that you do a follow up appointment about three weeks after the initial treatment. Sometimes, a second treatment session is very helpful to "polish" off the base of the wart . There are a few other topical options but typically a wart on the nose resolves fairly easily with liquid nitrogen. I hope that helps! ...Read more

What would be recommended to take care of an anal skin tag?

Have it snipped off: Under local anesthesia by your family doctor, proctologist (if you can still find a practicing one), or colorectal surgeon. This is not something you can self-treat, nor should you. Even though it's a truly simple quick procedure, if it gets infected you have big trouble, so let an expert do it and follow up appropriately! ...Read more

Is a skin tag with a base about the size of a dime cause for concern? The "tag" part takes up about 1/3 of the area. Can this turn to melanoma?

Hmmmmmmm: Skin tags have small bases. They are pedunculated. A widely based skin lesion is not a skin tag. Any skin growth greater than 1 centimeter, or that is changing, should be checked by a dermatologist. Btw a dime is larger than a centimeter. ...Read more

That skin tag or mole needs to be evaluated.
The range of what be the cause is vast.
From your post I can't say for sure if she needs to go to the Emergency Department right away BUT she needs to be seen and examined by a physician to decide on a plan of action. ...Read more

How do you remove skin tags?

How do you remove skin tags?

In all honesty...: ...I discourage people from doing this because of risk of bleeding, infections and scarring. That said, if you're going to do it anyway, clean the skin and a very sharp pair of small nail scissors with alcohol, and snip them off. Big ones can bleed quite a lot, so let your doc do those. An old folk remedy is to tie thread around them, but that seldom works. Otc "paint on" products are worthless. ...Read more
