Get help now: From your question about how much it would take to "get high" from a particular pill, it appears you have substance abuse problems. I suggest getting help from your physician about this, before it gets worse.

How come doctors are reluctant to prescribe amphetamines and benzos?

How come doctors are reluctant to prescribe amphetamines and benzos?

Do No Harm: A major principle of medicine is to do no harm if it can be avoided. There are a lot of alternative better medicines than benzo's and amphetamines. Doctors who do not pay attention to the harm these can do to their patients can lose their licenses, their freedom, and livelihood. With the cost of a medical education today running about 250K, it is not worth it to use such problem meds.

I have been prescribed amphetamines for add for 24 years. How do I taper?

Supervised: Stimulants have powerful effects and bith using them properly and discontinuing them should be done under expert supervision. While general guidelines exist for both, people do differ in their responses and these should be always be taken into careful account.

Any docs believe prescribing adderall/other prescription amphetamine effective/acceptable sub to prevent relapse, aid in withdrawal symptoms for meth addiction?

Any docs believe prescribing adderall/other prescription amphetamine effective/acceptable sub to prevent relapse, aid in withdrawal symptoms for meth addiction?

Harm Reduction.: The ideal treatment for meth addiction is one that does not include use of stimulants. The meth addict treated with stimulant replacement runs the risk of impaired control over use. At the same time, the physician should "first do no harm", and in rare case by case basis may have to employ the lesser of two evils for purposes of harm reduction. Ideally addressed by an addiction psychiatrist.

How do amphetamines work? I know my Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) contains them, but Meth also has amphetamine in it. I was curious what the difference was?

In a nut shell: They work by increasing the dopamine in the nerve synapses. Amphetamines like Vyvanse (lisdexamfetamine) contain a set amount of medication. Meth is illegal and as it is not made in a commercial lab the quality and strength is variable. Stick with your Vyvance it the safer alternative

I smoked hash about 7 days ago and on my drug screen it comes out that I have failed on opium and meth. Is this normal? I have been drinking water for the past 3 days, and I even bought q-carbo herbal clean, I don't know if this works or not.

Normal??????: If you are smoking hash while knowing you are having drug testing, then you are in more trouble than you know. Firstly, you don't know what stuff is cut with, and it may have been cut with opioids or amphetamines (i assume you mean methamphetamine and not methadone). None of the so-called detox products work, and neither does drinking lots of water. You need to get help for your drug problem.

" Little Pain': Where do you get this pain. And when you say Meth are you alluding to Methyl Amphetamine, or Methylphenidate The question is full of street jargon, because I don't understand this lingo, will pass it on to who does

Are barr amphetamine salts just adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine)? Is it safe to take?

Are barr amphetamine salts just adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine)? Is it safe to take?

It is a generic for: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). This is a generic form of adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). As long as it has been issued by the physician for you for a legitimate cause, I don't think that you should have any concern about it.

Can you tell me is self harm a common side effect of meth?

Can you tell me is self harm a common side effect of meth?

Meth and self harm: The answer to question is yes. It is a rather not point however because the mirror use of meth is a severe form of self harm. Please get into treatment and stop the use as soon as possible before your condition deteriorates. I am including a picture of meth mouth so you can see what the later stages of a meth use look like. I can't imagine you wanting to ever look like that. Please do the right thing by yourself. Have a happy and healthy holiday season and stay safe.

Can prescribed amphetamines cause resting head tremor? How long does it last? Is it withdrawal or cause? Would withdrawal happen within only a month?

Yes: Definitely possible. It is possible for it to be caused either by use (which is more likely) or withdrawal, which is possible as well. Amphetamine withdrawl, if you have it, will set in in the first day or two after discontinuing use. I would not exoect symptoms to show up a month after stopping. Discuss with prescribing physician.

If I weigh 95 lbs and have taken half of a pill of 30mg d-amphetamines once in my life how long will it be in my system?

The half-life: Is 12 hours, so it can be detectable up to a maximum of 60 hours, but in reality it will likely clear much sooner depending on how quickly your body metabolizes it and the fact that you took a single small dose. Best wishes.
