Maybe but not likely: You have to understand that the usual way to date is weeks from the menstrual period, which is presumed( but not always )2 weeks from conception. But, if a good ultrasound is done and the first third of pregnancy, it should be accurate to within 5 days, not 2 weeks off! if within 5 days, they way still go by the menstrual period or probable date of conception... Both is best: The most accurate dating is where the 1st trimester ultrasound is within a week of the lmp dating; that confirms the lmp dating. If the 9 week ultrasound gives dates greater than 1 week from what's predicted by the lmp then the lmp is not accurate and the ultrasound dating should be used. ...Read more

Threatened AB: Any bleeding or cramping in your first trimester can be from a threatened miscarriage (or abortion, ab). The bleeding is always a worrisome sign and a fetal heart rate < 100 BPM is also worrisome.
