9 Month Old Baby Still Not Sleeping Through The Night
When traveling w/6 months old to country that is 9 hours ahead will it cause my baby sleep all day(now he sleeps all night)and be awake through night?
It may take a few: days for your baby (and you) to adjust to the time difference. Depending on when you are leaving, you may be able to help that transition, but adjusting his sleep schedule a little bit at a time before you go. Otherwise you can keep him as awake as you can during the daytime once you're there and hopefully move the schedule to be more accommodating to the new time. ...Read more
My 7month old baby she sleeps 3 times during the day but its been a week she is sleeping late at nights how can i change her sleeping routine?
Whatever he wants: Normal, healthy, growing babies eat whatever amount they want to eat, night or day. Avoid feeding during the night, after age 3 months. If he stops eating at night before then, don't wake him up at night. Avoid counting how much is eaten. In nature, babies breastfeed, so the amount they eat is unknown, and not looked at. We calculate the amount eaten ONLY if a baby is sick or not growing right. ...Read more
When can I expect my 1 month old daughter to sleep through the night? She still feeds pretty much every 3 hours which interrupts night time sleep
Baby Feedings: Sleeping through the night is a developmental milestone we don't expect until closer to 2 months. Feeding on demand (not on a schedule) is key to achieving a long sleep. Babies need to "cluster feed" (a meal marathon) before and after a long sleep (until their tummies get bigger). Once she's sleeping through, try putting her in her crib to learn to fall asleep on her own (on her back). ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Sleep consolidation : Is promoted by a consistent bedtime & routine, reading, soothing, wiping out baby's mouth after the last feed, then putting her to bed on her back in her own crib, drowsy but awake. Learning to self-calm to sleep now helps her do this when she night wakes & prevents "trained night crying" at 6 mos. Or >. 11 month old still wakes up to eat 2-3 times a night. She literally has not slept through the night since birth. Formula fed. Should i be concerned? I'm pretty tired and worn out.
Time for a change: This issue is best dealt with at birth.Teaching a kid to eat on awaking rather than when tired.Difficulty at night is often tied to feeds just before sleep, when the baby considers it part of settling ritual. They require night feeding to resettle. Feeds should be completed at least a half hour or more before sleep. Going to crib awake and being read to while settling is more likely to help. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 3 months old baby cries out loud every day at night only before going to sleep all day he is active and feeds well what could be reason ?
Fatigue, anxiety: Babies at 3 months do get tired but do not understand the concept of sleep. They have enough memory to handle their wakeful periods, but really just pause between them. They do not seek or understand sleep until into their 2nd year. An illness or food reaction would cause fussiness all the time. This often improves as they pas 4-5 months and can roll over and entertain themselves more as they settle. ...Read more

I'm breast feeding my baby at night but during the day i give her formula. Will i still produce enough to continue feeding her at night?
Maybe, maybe not: The best way to assure good breast flow is to maintain regular stripping of existing production. Some are able to drop day feeds and maintain production and some are not. If there is a chance to pump and store it during the day it may help keep up flow and may reduce the chance your body will decide you are weaning. It could also increase babies breast milk intake. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
