Yes: This is at the top end of the recommended intake. But you probably don't need to take it. Just make sure u eat plenty of fruits and veggies. Also, storebought bread usually has Folic Acid in it. I have seen many people who get upset stomach with this high dose. Why not just take 400 mcg, or rather, focus on eating right? Good luck! ...Read more

Yes: 1000 mcg of folic acid is safe, but probably not necessary. 800 mcg is plenty, even if you want twins. (Folic acid will not increase your chances of having twins). Folic acid supplementation is for the prevention of neural tube defects (such as spina bifida). ...Read more
