refers to all the physical matter humans (like all living creatures) must take in on a recurring basis; only partially for energy. Like all life on planet humans are open systems which keep tearing down their structure & require intake of atoms/molecules from which to rebuild their structure. Intestinal lining cells replaced ~every 3 days. CaPO4 in bones ~every 6 years, ...Read more
Info abou the hCG diet, and after yoy reach your goal weight do u continue the drops and do you continue eating just 500 calories?
HCG weight loss: No one can survive really on a 500 calorie diet (at least not happily or for long ). While on the HCG diet although you consume 500 calories per day, your body is able to derive the rest of it's caloric needs from its extensive fat reserves. Your body burns calories to breathe, for your heart to pump even for the act of eating itself. I would not advise any kind dieting if you have a normal bmi. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

If i take the b12&hcg injection for weight loss(1/2cc hcg)in shot . Will that increase fertility or is it safe with 1250 calorie diet ?
No: The HCG does not affect your fertility at the recommended doses for the diet, 125 iu. And you should be on the original protocol which is 500 calories for it to be effective. Too many phsyicians have modified the diet and dose and still claim the results will be the same. They won't! the weight loss will lead to fertility as it changes the estrogen to Progesterone balance. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Its probably safe: It will raise testosterone levels in men. The HCG diet has had side effects, but those are due to rapid weight loss (gall stones) and eating only 500 calories per day, starvation is not a great plan. I doubt the HCG itself causes many or any problems if used in low doses. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Yes: The HCG diet was originally developed by a.T.W. Simeons M.D. During the 1940's -1950's. It has been used all over the world for over 50 years. This method is extremely safe & effective when used under the care of an experienced & trained md. Apparently HCG has an effect on your hypothalamus, increasing adiponectin levels & reducing leptin resistance. The method must be followed strictly to work. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
Insufficiency : The diet is really a starvation diet and can cause problems with heart and other organs because you aren't getting enough nutrition and can see consequences from starvation. Do not recommend as not worth weight loss. Add exercise if you want to burn more calories than you are taking in. Not worth harming your body ...Read more
Likely minimal: The drops which are sold at health food stores are probably a scam with no real active ingredients capable of being absorbed orally. The injections use a tiny dose compared to what is used by specialists to help couples conceive, and is dwarfed by the amount the pregnancy will soon produce. There are no studies, but i suspect the effects would be negligible. If you conceive, the diet is over! ...Read more
Depends: Depends on the dose, but it would be very safe to say 14 days after last shot. ...Read more

Not a good idea: The HCG diet is neither safe nor effective. It is not approved by the FDA. The hormone human chorionic gonadotropin is produced during pregnancy. The diet recommends severe calorie restriction--500-800 calories--which is likely why people lose in the short term, but it is not safe. And the HCG can contribute to edema and blood clots. Increase physical activity and restrict healthy calories a bit. ...Read more
