Can i take 1000 mgs Depakote 10 mgs Valium 25 mgs doxepin and 300 mgs Trileptal together at bed time?
There is a drug : Interaction between trileptal and valium. Valium blood levels rise in the presence of trieptal, so it is generally recommended practice to lower the valium dose while on trileptal. All of the other medications are safe to be taken together. I would not take the full 25 mg of valium along with the combination however. Talk to your prescribing physician about this. Best wishes. ...Read more

The interaction between klonopin (clonazepam) and tegretol:tegretol lowers klonopin (clonazepam) by 30% -does klonopin (clonazepam) raise tegretol ?
Not great combo: Concomitant administration of clonazepam (Klonopin) and carbamazepine (Tegretol) resulted in a 22% increase in clonazepam clearance and a 20.5% decrease in carbamazepine clearance. Carbamazepine is well known to induce its own metabolism as well as the metabolism of other meds making it difficult to manage. Consult provider. Bottom line - Klonopin is not likely to raise Tegretol levels. ...Read more
Lower the dose: Meds like zoloft (sertraline) can sometimes cause withdrawal effects including dizziness, electrical sensations in your head, nausea, mild muscle aches, feeling flushed, anxious, etc. Zoloft (sertraline) does this infrequently. These withdrawal effects are not dangerous, but they can be uncomfortable. If you are having problems stopping from 50 mg talk to your doc about cutting to a lower dose for a week or 2 and then stop. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Taking 1000 mgs Depakote 10 mgs Valium 10 mgs Ambien at bed time. Can i still take 5 mgs of saphris (asenapine)?
Ask your doctor: Dd your doctor prescribe these to be taken all at once? The combo of valium and Ambien is deadly. Please don't take them together tonight, and call your doctor in the morning. As for Depakote and saphris, (asenapine) do take these as going without could cause a relapse of your bipolar disorder. Be well. ...Read more
10mg paxil (paroxetine). Pdoc wants me to switch to wellbutrin by starting at 75mg and taking 10mg Paxil (paroxetine) for 5 days then stop paxil (paroxetine). Need for Paxil (paroxetine) ween?
See a psychiatrist: I can only guess your medication is for depression. First of all I am clueless as to why your dose of Remeron is so low and every other night. Secondly i don't understand why you were coming off of just 10 mg of Paxil (paroxetine) which is rarely therapeutic. Thirdly, 75 mg of wellbutrin is too low as a starting dose. Find yourself a psychiatrist who will dose your meds properly with full remission from the depression as a goal. This will generally take 300 mg a day of wellbutrin. You can taper the Paxil (paroxetine) to 5 mg down from 10 and then stop it if you wish. That may help make any potential withdrawal more tolerable. Best wishes. ...Read more

Yes: there are no contraindications with any medication, as far as I know. Magnesium is found in many foods, and magnesium deficiency has become more common, particularly with use of drugs like omeprazole (Prilosec), esomeprazole (Nexium) and similar drugs which markedly reduce stomach acid and impede magnesium absorption. ...Read more

I switch from cymbalta (duloxetine) 90mg to Zoloft 50mg by tapering cymbalta (duloxetine) but after 10 dayes i finish my last 30 mg cymbalta (duloxetine) but i can't sleep even with trazadon?
May take longer. : Zoloft and Cymbalta (duloxetine) are actually very different from each other. Cymbalta (duloxetine) is very potent and works on two different receptors (serotonin ; norepinephrine ) and many people take longer to get off of it. Zoloft works mostly on one (receptor) and 50 mg is a low dose. Talk to your doctor about this. ...Read more
Can 20 mg Lexapro/60 Cymbalta/40 viibryd (vilazodone hydrochloride) be too much serotonin ..seem better on 10 lexapro?
Discuss w/ Dr: It's not exactly an issue of 'too much' serotonin, but except for that, you might be right to seek a consult about the dosages and perhaps even eliminate a Rx cautiously as possible. Please consider that adding CBT Tx optimizes outcomes w/ or w/out medication and makes good sense. Ask about a referral and dose reduction, etc. Best! ...Read more

Can you take together 10 mg lexapro (escitalopram) , 25 mg lamotrigine 1200 mg fish oil and 1000 mg acetaminofen ?
Yes, but...: Lexapro, (escitalopram) Lamictal, and Fish Oil are often co-prescribed. If fish oil is being used for therapeutic benefit, its good to know the EPA content of the capsules. EPA (not total fish oil weight) needs to be around 1000 to 1500 mg per day to impact mood (FYI). Acetaminophen at 1000 mg - as an occasional dose - is fine to take s the above. Frequent use, though, is to be avoided. ...Read more

With your Docs help!: Ideally this should be done in conjunction with the prescribing physician. Stopping an antidepressant on your own is not a good idea. About 1/5 individuals experience discontinuation symptoms when coming off a ssri. Paxil (paroxetine) has a relatively short 1/2 life meaning it clear from the system fairly quickly. Generally the dose would be decreased gradually to the lowest possible dose before stopping. ...Read more

Discontinuation : I assume you are experiencing a discontinuation syndrome from abruptly stopping the medication.
