8 Weeks Pregnant Sharp Pain
8 weeks pregnant, had a sharp pain in my right ovary and lower back. Went away after a few minutes and area isn't sensitive or sore at all. Am I ok?
Probably: If the pain recurs, see your OB for an ultrasound to ensure no risk of an ectopic pregnancy. A tubal pregnancy (ectopic) is dangerous because it can rupture and lead to life-threatening bleeding. If you had previous pelvic infections, ectopic, adhesions, endometriosis, or recurrent pain; see your doc asap. Take care. ...Read more

I'm 8 weeks pregnant and had a sharp pain in my left shoulder when I would take a deep breath a couple weeks ago. It's gone now but I'm worried..

Do you have risk factors for it (other than being pregnant)? Any family history? If it was a PE the pain would likely not have gone away. Enjoy your pregnancy! ...Read more

Are consistent painful cramps and occasional sharp pains in my lower stomach normal signs in the 1st trimester of pregnancy? It keeps me up at night.
Cramping in the 1st trimester without any bleeding or spotting is common, and not typically a sign that anything is wrong. Sharp pains originating from your uterus are not common, but again not necessarily a sign that the pregnancy is abnormal.
However constipation is very common in pregnancy, and can explain both the cramping and sharp pains. ...Read more
My boyfriend and I are trying to get preganent. Recently when I cough I get a sharp pain in my left ovary. What would cause this pain?
Possible ovulation: If you have an ovulatory cyst (normal) on the ovary it may be a sign you are close to ovulation, and it can be painful. Of course there are other reasons for ovary pain and if it persists you probably need a sonogram to asses it.
