8 Month Old Baby Throwing Up While Feeding
My month old baby keeps throwing up after every feeding. What could be wrong? Breastfeed during the day, 2 bottles of 2oz newborn formula at night.
Esophageal Reflux: Or gastro-esophageal reflux disease. Occurs when lower esophageal sphincter is loose, doesn't close, stomach content comes up as vomiting. Make sure, when feeding, head 45 degree upright, a good seal while nursing, no gap, so that baby doesn't swallow air. Burp up halfway and after feeding, keep baby upright for 1/2 hour. If not better, anytime projectile vomit, poor wt. Gain, see doc asap. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers

Is it safe to give an 8 month old baby Infant Tylenol (acetaminophen) every day during teething to help with teething pain & discomfort? Baby's weight is 18 lbs.
Not necesarily: Look into how much you r feeding him first. Try to make feeds of lesser amount and more frequent. Also use "reflux precautions" in which u keep babies head elevated above stomach for half an hour after each feeding, and lay him with head of crib elevated. If this doesn't work talk with your doctor to see if thickening or changing formula is the next best thing. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
3 month old spits up after every bottle! gaining weight and doesn't cry after spit up! Generally, a happy baby! Reflex? Switch formula? Allergy?
Thicken Feeds: You can try thickening the feeding with one teasoon of rice cereal per ounce of formula, feed the baby just a smaller feeding and more often, elevate the head of the bed, and keep him upright between feedings as much as possible. If he is gaining weight, happy and not having painful feedings, I'd try these simple measures. Be sure and make your four month appt with his pediatrician! ...Read moreSee 3 more doctor answers
My 8 months girl has yellow vomit when i just wake her to bottle-feed. Had diarrhea once. Had 3 times vomit after feeding. Severe naseua.Refuse feedin
My 2 month old sleeps for 7 hours at night. She never wake up for feeding. Should I forcefully wake her up and feed?
Let babies sleep...: If she is happy and growing, leave her alone. After 3 months of age, parents can give a feeding at 10 p.m. or thereabouts, and expect the baby to sleep 6 hours. If a normal baby sleeps 6-8 hours and is fine the next day, she'll eat enough during the day to make up for sleeping all night (and parents will sleep well at night, too). A normal 2-month baby sleeping well at night means lucky parents. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Sleeping problems: Try to establish bedtime rituals to help him fall asleep properly. Try to do the same things every night. If your child falls asleep and then wakes up at night, wait 3-5 minutes, then go to his room and calm him down without picking him up or feeding him. If calms down, leave him. If wakes up again, wait 10 minutes and go to his room and do the same thing. Next time he cries, wait 20 minutes ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

My 1month old gets very fussy about 2 hrs after formula bottle.Acid reflux?Gas?Occasionally spits up.
Spit up versus vomit: Quite normal for many babies to spit up small amounts of milk/formula after feeding. Should be white & not green which could be sign of intestinal obstruction. No: Stooling patterns for infants are very different from adults. Some newborns poop after every feed (yes that can mean 8 times a day!). Some breastfed babies, however, absorb all the nutrients in the milk and can go up to a week without a poopey diaper. As long as your baby is gaining weight well, his stool is soft, there's no blood in the diaper and the stool isn't a white color its probably ok. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
My 6 month old breast fed baby only drinks 5 ounces per bottle. She bottle feeds twice while I work for 8 hours. She is 18 pounds. She was born 8.5 oz?
By weight is fine: She is likely getting much more when nursing directly from the breast. While you might expect her take more from the bottle at this size, she may prefer the breast and baby foods (presuming she's being fed some). As long as she's wetting aces diapers in that 8 hrs, is happy after feeds , don't worry. Offer a cup with water, too- it's time to start learning. ...Read moreSee 2 more doctor answers
