It can get complicated, thus the field of statistics but you need a control vs an experimental group. Try an ENT specialis: I'm unsure what the apparent typo "but for sth like tinnitus", but the "patting my head helps" sounds to me like there is fluid in your ears. If it is behind the eardrum, then decongestants MIGHT help, but I'd suggest you see an Ear Nose Throat specialist. I'm not sure what the problem is, but sometimes tubes in the eardrums help similar problems and an ENT doc would be the one to do that surgery. ...Read more
