Generalized weight loss through healthy diet along with varied types of exercise will tone all areas of the body and give you a better overall appearance. Yes, and no: Muscle tone responds generally within about 2 weeks to regular exercise. However, fat can be decreased (about 1 pound a week) mainly with calorie restriction BUT, the fat distribution isn't really fixable except with surgery.
