Could I be pregnant from 5 weeks ago if I got a period 3 weeks after, and have had no symptoms of pregnancy?

Could I be pregnant from 5 weeks ago if I got a period 3 weeks after, and have had no symptoms of pregnancy?

Maybe: Technically, if you had a real period, you can't be pregnant. The problem is that sometimes bleeding in early pregnancy can be confused with a period. And sometimes there are no symptoms. The way around this confusion is to do a home pregnancy test. They are available without a prescription at the pharmacy and you can do the test in the privacy of your own bathroom. Best wishes! ...Read more

Pregnancy (Definition)

When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

ESR: The erythrocyte sedimentation rate is a very non-specific measure of inflammation and in the absence of symptoms or other manifestations of illness should be ignored. Lab test results taken out of the context of clinical presentations and findings seldom have relevance. Good luck and have a great baby. When is it safe to stop worrying about an ectopic pregnancy? I have had no symptoms, but am only 4 weeks, 1 day pregnant and looking for reassurance.

When the US is done: If you have risk factors (prior ectopic, prior surgeries, endometriosis, pelvic infections, etc) an ultrasound is the best way to confirm an intrauterine pregnancy. At 4 weeks a gestational sac may be seen & definitely should be done if you have any pain, bleeding, or risk factors. Good luck & take care. ...Read more

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have no symptoms but a positive pregnancy test is this normal??

I'm 5 weeks pregnant and have no symptoms but a positive pregnancy test is this normal??

Yes: I am assuming you have seen your OB already and that is how your pregnancy was diagnosed? If not and only diagnosed by home pregnancy test, see OB asap. Some women are lucky and do not get the morning sickness, frequent peeing and other "joys" of pregnancy. If so, count your blessings. Also be sure to see your OB regularly. Hope this was helpful. Congratulations and good luck with pregnancy. ...Read more

I'm coming up on 7 weeks pregnant, with no symptoms other than a positive pregnancy test. Could something be wrong?

You could certainly confirm that all is going well with pregnancy by getting an early ultrasound, which would also help to establish the pregnancy dates. ...Read more
