Is it possible to have twins not detected on 15 weeks pregnancy ultrasound? im 6 months preggy now and 8 seems like two alternate kicking on my tummy

Extremely

Pregnancy
Unlikely. Anything is possible, but it would have to be a really bad scan.

Can a pregnancy ultrasound miss a twin? I had an early (8 weeks) ultrasound and the doctor said she couldn't rule out twins at this point. Could another baby really be "hiding"? Only one heartbeat detected, so I don't know what to expect.

Possible twins

Ultrasound
The fetus is "really small" at 8 weeks, and another could be hiding. Usually they won't say something like that unless there is some hint at twins though, unless it's really a thing they always add to protect themselves. I'd ask why they said that. If it's standard language, don't worry about it. Otherwise, there might be something they were looking at.

How inaccurate is a pregnAncy ultrasound done at 14 weeks?

Pretty accurate.

Ultrasound
Depends on the sonographer and whether it was vaginal or abdominal u/s but at that point in pregnancy for dates it will be pretty accurate usually.

Standard screening and dating pregnancy ultrasound showed nothing. Do I need 20 week one?

Most OBs perform a high-resolution US between 18-20 weeks to rule out anomalies. It's a good time to screen the fetus, document placental location, and even check gender. We no longer "wait & see" when it comes to labor since there's an advantage to having the right equipment & personnel at delivery if an abnormality is present.

Pregnancy ultrasound for gender prediction? Some says by 12/14/16/18/20 weeks. When genitials are completly formed actually? Why different answers?

Shades of grey.

Sonogram
While gender can be determined at 12 weeks it is harder to do and more likely to be wrong. Gender determination at 20 weeks is easier and less likely to be wrong.

All pregnancies not

All pregnancies are not the same and there can be differences on ultrasound without having any thing wrong with the pregnancy.

Early pregnancy ultrasound showed baby right on at 8 weeks 1 day but with a heart rate of 185bpm. I though 120-180 was normal. Should I be concerned?

Normal FHT's

Heart
"Normal" Fetal Heart rates are as you have described above in your question. 180 or 185 is a distinction without a difference.

Pregnancy ultrasound dating accuracy?

Earlier the better

Pregnancy_ultrasound
In the first trimester (< 14 wks) it's accurate within days. The later in pregnancy, the more inaccurate it is to date a pregnancy. Roughly, if an ultrasound differs by a week in the first trimester, dates are changed. 2 weeks for second trimester & 3 wks difference in the third trimester to change the due date compared to an LMP due date. Always keep the earliest US EDC, it should never change.

Can the thyroid affect a pregnancy ultrasound?

Only if the

Pregnancy
thyroid level is abnormal and causes changes to either the fetus or the placenta. Hopefully, your thyroid level is normal, as abnormal levels increase the risk of pregnancy complications. Check w/your doctor.
