6 Weeks Twin Pregnancy Ultrasound
Hope Not!: By 8 weeks, it should be fairly easy to see 2 fetuses with their own hearts. This is a good time to define number of gestational sacs and placental disposition. Exactly what are the credentials of the person doing the sono? That is very important. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

How late can you detect a heartbeat from twin pregnancy with transvaginal ultra sound? If demise of one twin will other twin have issues?
Twin is high risk..: Generally, embryonic cardiac activity is seen between 5 and 6 menstrual weeks of pregnancy - single or twins or triplets. Can a pregnancy ultrasound miss a twin? I had an early (8 weeks) ultrasound and the doctor said she couldn't rule out twins at this point. Could another baby really be "hiding"? Only one heartbeat detected, so i don't know what to expect.

Usually they won't say something like that unless there is some hint at twins though, unless it's really a thing they always add to protect themselves. I'd ask why they said that. If it's standard language, don't worry about it. Otherwise, there might be something they were looking at. ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›

Does having a twin pregnancy allow you to find out the gender before week 20? So many things seem to be so different when there's two involved.
Definitely okay: So long as your doctor has not told you that there is a reason you should not be walking or exercising in pregnancy, walking is great. Even 60 min a day. Exercise in pregnancy actually decreases your risks in pregnancy, so that's great you're committed to a healthy pregnancy. If you were to bleed/spot or start cramping, let your doctor know, asap. Good luck and have a great twin pregnancy! ...Read moreGet help from a doctor now ›
