6 Weeks Pregnant My Progesterone Level Is 13 87
My hCG went from 11000 to 49000 at 7 weeks. Should it be higher than that? My previous test was at 6 weeks pregnant. My progesterone level is 79
That is about right: During very early pregnancy, the hgc rises/doubles in about 48-72 hours. Say your is about 72 hours=3 days. 11000 doubles to 22000, then again doubles another 72hrs, thus =44000, with 5000 left for the 7th day; just an estimate. Just remember, everyone is different. Follow doc's advice. Congrats on the pregnancy and best of luck to you. ...Read more
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

9 weeks pregnant, progesterone level at 13.1, currently on crinone (progesterone gel) 8%, have some cramps here and there, but no bleeding. Saw heartbeat, what to expect?
You should be fine: Congratulations, you are pregnant! Try not to treat the numbers, there really isn't much you can do about it. While your physician may place you on Progesterone supplementation, there is no evidence that this decreases miscarriage risk. That being said, it can't hurt. If the fetal size is appropriate and the heart beat is normal, try to relax and enjoy your pregnancy. Best of luck! ...Read more

I am 5 wks. Pregnant. My progesterone level is 11.9. My ob/gyn prescribed me crinone (progesterone gel) 8%. Is it effective in increasing my level? Is my level alarming?
Not alarming: 11.9 is at the lower edge of normal for 5 weeks gestational age. Crinone (progesterone gel) 8% is a recommended treatment for keeping Progesterone levels high in the first trimester in an attempt to prevent miscarriage due to inadequate Progesterone levels. It's usually continued for the first 12 weeks of pregnancy. ...Read more

Want P4 higher: While it's true that the ideal peak progesterone (P4) level is 12 or above, it's still possible to get pregnant on a cycle with a P4 level of 7.5. Yes, a Progesterone level at a week after ovulation (usually day 21) is done to check for objective signs of ovulation. A level over 10 is good, over 20 is great!
Even if you ovulate, age over 40 is a neg factor(unfortunately). Many eggs are simply not fertile. If you really desire a baby, see a reproductive specialist soon! ...Read more

On clomid, (clomiphene) had my progesterone level checked two days ago, looked up my results, it was 28...is that good? Probability of pregnancy?
When?: Depends on when during her cycle it is measured. Prior to ovulation levels are low, typically less than 1 to 2 ng/ml. Soon after ovulation levels will be greater than 2 ng/ml and up to 25, 30 or more. In the second half of the cycle (luteal phase) Progesterone is secreted in pulses and levels vary widely; i therefore think the idea of 'normal' doesn't help much. ...Read more
On chlomid 50mg I had a progesterone level test done at cycle day 21 and nurse said my level was a 7.5 can I still get pregnant at that level?
Yes you can: Yes, you definitely ovulated so it's still possible to get pregnant. When you check a progesterone level it measures just a single point in time. If they measured it again in 12-24 hours the result could be different. It's true though that we want progesterone to be > or = 12 for a strong ovulation. If you don't conceive they might go up on Clomid (clomiphene) dose. ...Read more
