Could be miscarriage: If you are early in your pregnancy and having heavy bleeding, i would be worried about miscarrying. Often times you will have cramps and bleeding. Is it heavy like a period? Possibly: There are 3 causes of early pregnancy bleeding - #1 Miscarriage, #2 Ectopic or Tubal pregnancy, #3 Bleeding around the sac that the baby develops in. Very possibly: No bleeding is truly normal with pregnancy. Some is less worrisome. Does require an immediate check up, labs and possibly an ultrasound. The labs confirm blood type and how far along pregnancy is. Ultrasound, if appropriate, looks for ectopic or other possibilities. Maybe normal?: There are specific parameters to judge whether early pregnancy is abnormal. Based on measurements. Unfortunately, dates are not always reliable.
