6 Week Ultrasound Only Gestational Sac
Anteverted, bulky gravid uterus, single intrauterine gestational sac 2.7 cm gestational age 6 weeks 6 days no fetal pole is this OK?or a miscarriage?
An ultraound, also known as a sonogram, is a painless and relatively inexpensive imaging test that utilizes sound waves instead of ionizing radiation. There are no side effects. Ultrasound can give us two-dimensional, and in some applications three-dimensional, images of structures and organs in virtually any part of the body. In addition to diagnostic uses, such as evaluating abnormalities in the abdomen, pelvis, and breast, ultrasounds are commonly used to guide needle and catheter placement in a variety of surgical ...Read more
First ultrasound he said i was 6 weeks 5 days there was 1 gestational sac 1 yolk sac and 1fetal pole with heartbeat could yolk sac be a twin?
First ultrasound 6w 3d only found gestational sac & yolk sac no fetal pole. Went after 2 weeks found same result but the sac measured 7w 6d miscarry?
Discuss with doctor : It would not be appropriate for us to make a definitive statement without all the information. I will say that a fetus should be visible in a gestational sac 7-8 weeks size. Ask your doctor if you have a blighted ovum. A blighted ovum is where the baby never forms. This can be treated with medication of a surgery called a D and C ...Read more

At 5 weeks 2 days transvaginal ultrasound only saw gestational sac after ivf. Should the yolk sac be visible by that time?
Im 6 weeks 4 days but ultrasound puts me at 6 weeks 1 day! Saw sac yolk sac and fetal heartbeat it was only 95 shushould I be worried of,miscarriage?
Congratulations: You are pregnant. Worrying about miscarrying is unhelpful all around. Nothing about your US report suggests a higher risk of miscarriage. ...Read more
Bled whole pregnancy. At 7w(lmp) measured 6 weeks with small gestational sac. At 8w (lmp) measured 6w6d with sac at 4.5 weeks. HR 154. Miscarriage?
Not necessarily: Hi, Without seeing the ultrasounds it is a little confusing. At the first U/S, what was measuring 6wk?> the sac or the fetus, if they saw one. The second U/S would actually be reassuring; they measured a fetus at 6w6d (the difference from LMP would just mean your dates are off), but a fetal heart rate of 154 is reassuring. The continued bleeding is worrisome, but keep the faith! Good luck ...Read more
By LMP I am 7 weeks pregnant. Ultrasound at 6 weeks 3 days showed irregular sac, no heartbeat or yolk etc. No flow around sac. Hcg rising. Miscarriage?
Early pregnancy: It's too soon to be sure what is going on. Often a woman will ovulate later and the lmp will not be accurate. The best option is to repeat the beta-hcg every 48 hours until 3 results are performed and a repeat ultrasound 1 week after the previous was done. That will usually solve the question. ...Read more

8 weeks pregnant ultrasound showed 4 weeks.fetal pole n yolk sac not seen gestation sac seen is everything alright?its my first baby
Most likely, YES: Ultrasound is superior to your period in dating early pregnancy. A gestational sac is the first sonographic sign of pregnancy and appears about 4 1/2 weeks. Next is the yolk sac at about 5 weeks. The fetal pole with a heart beat at about 5 1/2 to 6 weeks. So, yes, it appears your pregnancy is progressing normally. ...Read more
First ultrasound at 6weeks pregnant only found gestational sac/ yolk sac no fetal pole..measuring at 5weeks 3days only..shoud I be worried?
23 days past ovulation, but transvaginal ultrasound only should early gestional sac, no yolk sac or fetal pole. Is that normal?
Yes: Depending on how good the tech is and the 'window" to see the sac you may or may not see things that early on. ...Read more
Can't say for sure: At such an early gestation, it's hard to make hard and fast rules about what is or is not normal. In some cases, you will see a heartbeat by 6 weeks gestational age. But are your dates certain? Do you have irregular periods or long cycles (>35 days between periods)? These can alter the expectations. Your doctor will probably want to repeat the ultrasound to see how the pregnancy develops over time. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
7 weeks from LMP after clomid (clomiphene). Ultrasound today showed gest. Sac and yolk sac. Only measured 5 1/2 weeks. Not good is it?
IVF, had my 7 wk scan. It showed a gestational sac,& yolk measuring 7 weeks but fetal pole small (measuring less than 6 wks) and hb slow. Any hope?
Lmp 5/1, positive hpt 3/2, bhcg 2063 7/2. Dating scan yesterday revealed yolk sac only, no heartbeat dated at 6 weeks only ? Missed miscarriage?
Another BHCG: The best way to know what is going on with the pregnancy it to have another bhcg level drawn. The number should double every 48 hours. If it is staying the same or declining the pregnancy is probably not going to continue. If it is on the rise then perhaps the ultrsound was just too early to detect the gestational sac and heartbeat. ...Read more
Gestation sac 12mm x 5mm x 12mm is this likely a blighted ovum no yolk sac present docters estimate 7 weeks by lmp my dates 5 weeks 4 days hcg increas?
Must know HCG level: The correlation between the sonographic findings of a 12 mm mean gestational sac is much better with your blood betaHCG levels than with your estimated gestational age of 7 wks by LMP. If your betaHCG is rising appropriately and you are feeling fine, another well timed sonogram may provide you and your doctor some reassurance or a better sense of direction. ...Read more
