6 Month Baby Wont Sleep Without Blanket
No: Babies should be placed in the crib, on their backs, with no blankets, stuffed animals, or other items in the crib. Loaded question: Why do you ask? If an 80+ year old wanted to take his/her baby blanket with them to bed i wouldn't care or stop them. Kids usually give up these comfort things when they begin to sense peer pressure at school age.I do not recommend taking them from the child, ever! a kid should be provided his/her own space to decide what comforts them.Adults can be creative in finding ways for kid to give it up. ...Read more
After he's a baby: I recommend going without for as long as possible. Your baby doesn't need a blanket. It has been recommended to not use a blanket until 12 months of age because at 12 months the risk of sids is greatly diminished. Physical mobility: When a kid can pull to stand in his/her crib, the chance they would suffocate in bed linen is negligible. Before then, i would consider it an invitation for trouble. My 4 weeks baby was sleeping with us in our bed covered under our blanket he was sweating when he woke up, how could it harm his skin or health?
I agree. Put him on: His back in his crib for naps & nighttime to reduce the risk of sids. If you have a consistent bedtime & routine of rocking, nursing, reading & wiping out his mouth after the last feed, then put him in his crib drowsy, but awake, he'll learn to self calm for sleep. This increases his chances of consolidating sleep by 4 mos. & prevents developmental night-crying at or after 6 mos. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
Can a 6 month old baby have night terror? My baby has been crying in his sleep during the night, without opening the eyes, what can I do?
Separation anxiety: Does your baby cry or show displeasure when she loses sight of you? Does she do the same thing when somebody else picks her up and sees you away from her? If you answered yes, she is starting to show separation anxiety which usually appears at this age. These episodes are repeated in her sleep and cause her to cry. Just do nothing and ignore her crying. She will grow out of it in about 6 months. ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer
