Not warmed up: My best estimate per computer would be that you are not "warmed up" when you hit one flight of stairs spontaneously. When you are doing workouts, you are inclining gradually and body has time to warm up/adjust. ...Read more

Weight loss: It is not about the type of walking but rather the calories burned. Using your example you will have walked 3 miles in one hour slow walking and 2.7 miles in a 1/2 hour fast walking. How do you feel?: This sounds like a reasonable regimen - how do you feel during and after you run? If you have not had a stress test recently, you should see your doctor to discuss this. Not Sure: I'm not sure about the weight loss relationship to your walking or running, but I am certain that the correct amount of exercise and the type of exercise best suited to your needs is whatever you will enthusiastically stick to over the long run. PVC: If the PVCs haven't been worked up... Suggest it should be checked. PVCs occur in certain zones of your heart rate. Do a holter monitor and exercise with it, if not get a HR monitor for exercise. If after work up you don't have any suspicion of blocked arteries... Need more info: You need to be more descriptive. Is the whole foot there goes numb or just a portion and what portion. Local nerve entrapment a can occur. They can be brought on by your running pattern, by the shoes you wear, your overall foot structure and most likely a combination of all.
