Can spend 45 min on treadmill at 3.7 mph inclining every 4 min ending at level 9. I spend 45 min on exercise bike.Flight of stairs? Grueling. Why?
Not warmed up: My best estimate per computer would be that you are not "warmed up" when you hit one flight of stairs spontaneously. When you are doing workouts, you are inclining gradually and body has time to warm up/adjust. ...Read more

Which type of walking reduce body fat fast ? Slow walking to 1hr or speed walking to1/2hr (eg; 3.0 speed at treadmill to 1hr or 5.4 speed to 1/2hr)
Weight loss: It is not about the type of walking but rather the calories burned. Using your example you will have walked 3 miles in one hour slow walking and 2.7 miles in a 1/2 hour fast walking. Because you went farther slow walking you would have burned more calories and therefore, lost more weight from the longer walk. ...Read more

How much weight can I loose in 3 months by walking 30 minutes on treadmill at 4.7 km/hr or by running 30 minutes on treadmill at 7 km/hr ?
Not Sure: I'm not sure about the weight loss relationship to your walking or running, but I am certain that the correct amount of exercise and the type of exercise best suited to your needs is whatever you will enthusiastically stick to over the long run. All too often people "burn out" chasing an exact target of minutes and speed. ...Read more
Started exercising. .5 mile walk, .25 mile run. Enough to create cortisol? Had increased PVCs (benign) afterwards. Looking for correlation.
PVC: If the PVCs haven't been worked up... Suggest it should be checked. PVCs occur in certain zones of your heart rate. Do a holter monitor and exercise with it, if not get a HR monitor for exercise. If after work up you don't have any suspicion of blocked arteries... Keep exercising and have fun getting fit. :) ...Read more

Heart rate: Your exertional heart rate sounds appropriate for that level of exertion. Your resting heart rate is higher than expected, and i would consider getting checked for anemia, hyperthyroid condition, etc. Some people just run high with no explanation (inappropriate sinus tachycardia). ...Read moreSee 1 more doctor answer

Is a 30 min walk as good as a vigorous 15 min bike ride with high intensity intervals? I'd like to find the quickest and easiest form of exercise.
Either: Training is used for multiple purposes. While many exercise experts and trainers advocate high intensity short interval training with frequent variation to improve strength and endurance, walking for cardiac aerobic training often aims to push the heart rate to a certain aerobic target (65-80% of maximum predicted hr = 220-age). Depends on your goals therefore. Always try to push the envelope. ...Read more
