140 lbs: 1: What is the size of the male members of your family? If close to yours you are doing OK. 2: If not you should see both a dietitian and an athletic trainer. 3: Go online to "NuVal" where you will find a list of 100 items - some good, some not so good, and some not good at all. See how your current diet stands in relation to these items.

What is a healthy weight for a 5 ft 8 inches 18 yr old male?

Varies: 150-165 pounds is a good range but if you are athletic and muscular you could very easily carry more weight

The BMI chart: Age is only used for pediatric/youg adults, often calculated to age 18 or so. After this point, we only use height and wt to determine healthy vs not-healthy-wt ranges for both men and women. It is a rough estimate and provide you a guide to keep "ideal body wt" for better health. Since u r 16, consult your doc. My guess: 115-120lbs = good range. Consult doc. Good luck.

I am a 5'4 inch woman who has a small frame. I weigh 124 lbs. I eat right and exercise. Is this a healthy weight for me?

I am a 5'4 inch woman who has a small frame. I weigh 124 lbs. I eat right and exercise. Is this a healthy weight for me?

Yes: That is a perfect weight for you. The formula is 100 pounds for 5 ft, then 5 additional pounds for each inch above 5 ft. Your ideal weight is 120 plus or minus 10% (12 pounds). You are right in the range of where you should be. Great.

Anyone know what is a healthy weight for 4"11 or 59 inches?

You decide: "ideal weight" is entertainment / subscience. Your best weight is whatever looks and feels right to you while you are able to compete successfully in the athletic pursuits that you enjoy.

What is average healthy weight for a 5 foot 10 inch female of middle age?

What is average healthy weight for a 5 foot 10 inch female of middle age?

150lbs: For women: an easy formula to use for determining a healthy weight range based on height: calculate 100 lbs for the first 5 ft. Then add 5 lbs for every inch over 5 ft. So 100 + 30 = 130. Give or take 10% depending on the size of your frame. Small frame: 117 lbs med frame: 130 lbs large frame: 143 lbs.

Nothing wrong: Your bmi is 23.4 which is normal. If you want to lose fat and gain muscle, then proper diet and exercise consisting of weight lifting. Increase muscle mass will burn fat. The real question is do you have an eating disorder?

Is my daughter at a healthy weight? She is 11, weighs about 106 pounds, and is 5 feet and 1 inch tall.

Appropriate: Het weight is at the 75% and height at around the 90% for her age. Her calculated BMI is 20 putting her at the 50% for her age. She is very appropriate for her age. Continue to encourage her to eat healthy and remain physically active and she should continue to grow appropriately.

Visit your doctor: Please visit your pediatrician, you are under height, don't know wether you were growing consistantly along your growth curve, you need to be evaluated and might need some meds to help your growth and achieve your potential height and weight, good luck

I am 20 and I'm worried about my weight I weight 12stone 6 and am 5ft 8, is this a healthy weight to be?

I am 20 and I'm worried about my weight I weight 12stone 6 and am 5ft 8, is this a healthy weight to be?

Maybe, maybe not: Healthtap doctors are american physicians, so we talk in pounds and ounces. I'm guessing a stone is 14 pounds, so 12 stone 6 = 174 pounds? That might be ok, depending on whether a person is male, female, has lots of muscle, has little muscle, etc... The question of "healthiness" depends on other conditions (a person with diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, etc... Would do better being lighter).

I am 5ft 4in and 154 pounds is this a healthy weight?

Overweight: This is in the overweight category according to body mass index. Another important question would be your waist-to-hip ratio which is an indicator of health risks. You would want to reduce your weight slowly at no more than 1-2 pounds per week until you reach your goal. Check out this simple online tool at www. Webmd. Com/diet/calc-bmi-plus.
