Whoa Nellie!!: You don't want to let that horse out of the barn just yet as it is still a too small foal. It's lungs are immature and due to the miracles of modern medicine ( & nicu) we save more then we lose. Call your OB and if contractions are evident the sooner the better. ...Read more

Not recommended: In the recent past, we were seeing increased admissions to the nicu because of 'social' inductions. The american college of obstetricians and gynecologists do not recommend inductions at less than 39 weeks unless there is a medical issue like high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Although you might have a high chance of successful induction, there is a slight increased chance of baby complications. ...Read more

Ask your OB doc !!!: You need to be asking your doc, as your doc knows what is going on with you, i assume u mean u are in early labor ? Because many OB docs myself included do not let twins labor anymore even if they are both cephalic so u need to be asking all of these questions to your doc and it is your doc's job to answer them as much best as possible. ...Read more

Preterm birth: No you won't dilate faster with another pregnancy. If you delivered prematurely, you most likely will be counseled that use of a Progesterone injection given weekly will decrease your risk of another premature delivery. Bed rest doesn't prevent a premature delivery. ...Read more
