5 Weeks Pregnant Fetus
Is it safe to go on a small roller coaster (space mountain) at five weeks pregnant since the fetus is so small and the placenta hasn't yet formed?
When your due date arrives, you will be more than ready to have your baby! Most women deliver the baby somewhere between 37 and 42 weeks. According to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, only 5% of babies arrive on the exact due date. Approximately 7% of babies are not delivered by 42 weeks, and when that happens, it is referred to ...Read more

I'm approx 5 weeks pregnant, my hCG -18500 and progesteron -103.But in ultrosonography doctor can't see fetus. Is it normal? How it should develope?
Unusual: Usually we can see an embryo once the HCG levels reach 10, 000. However we've learned that the discrimination zone can vary greatly with each pregnancy. I've seen pregnancies such as yours & not seen the fetus for another couple of weeks. If your HCG is rising, no bleeding or pain, be patient and follow up with your ob. It shouldn't be long if normal & your doc can determine this soon. Take care. ...Read more
I am 37.5 weeks pregnant. The hospital I went to shows no signs of a fetus. My hCG levels are normal and I have ultrasound pics from my doctor.?
???: Don't know what you mean "hospital shows no signs of a fetus". An ultrasound was done showing an empty uterus? "hcg levels are normal" - what does this mean? Hcg is not elevated, i.e., consistent with not being pregnant? If elevated, what's the level? Simply because you have sono pix from your doctor at some point doesn't mean you're still pregnant, but need more information. ...Read more

If fetus in 1st trimester is measuring "small", does it mean that you aren't as far along as u thought, or there's an issue?
Either: When the size of the embryo is less than expected in the first trimester then it could be that the person conceived later than expected or that there is an issue with the fetus including a possible miscarriage situation. A repeat ultrasound a week later will clarify what is going on. Good luck! ...Read more

IVF, 7 weeks pregnant but scan shows 6 weeks, 1 five day blastocyst, I have 2 gesational sacs, one has a fetal pole and yolk sac and 2nd has nothing???
Repeat Ultrasound: After IVF, one can see several different scenarios. It is best to wait and repeat the ultrasound. Do not feel anything is wrong till a repeat ultrasound is done. Early ultrasounds can be confusing. Sometimes, twin pregnancies happen even with 1 blastocyst transfer as the blastocyst can divide. However, growth discrepancy can happen and one may survive and the other may not. Good Luck! ...Read more
Tdap vaccine has formaldehyde, glutaraldehyde, aluminum, etc... Couldn't that be dangerous for developing fetus if given in 1st trimester?
No: The amounts are not large enough to have an effect. Life is all about benefits vs. Risks. We eat seafood even though it contains mercury. We drive to the store even though we could get killed by a drunk driver on any day. We get vaccines because the risks are tiny and the benefits are good. ...Read more
