Weight loss: Eating 5000 calories equals gaining one pound of body wight. We burn about 1500 calories per day with normal activities. To lose 5 pounds in a week would be only temporary water weight loss and is unhealthy too. Jogging for 30 minutes equals only about 250 calories burned. You would have to jog all day and eat nothing. Hang in there: If the fever is under 104 f (40c), and your child has no other symptoms such as cough, ear pain, sore throat or pain with urination, etc, keep your child well hydrated and hang in there.
